What we like about Samsung Galaxy Watch7 LTE 44mm

  • Vibrant and bright 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display with sapphire crystal
  • Smooth and responsive performance powered by the new 3nm Exynos W1000 processor
  • Lightweight and comfortable design, weighing only 33.7g (case only)
  • Upgraded BioActive sensor provides high-precision heart rate and sleep tracking
  • Innovative health features including FDA-authorized sleep apnoea detection and AGEs index
  • Dual-frequency GPS improves tracking accuracy in dense urban or wooded environments
  • LTE connectivity allows for standalone calls, messages, and music streaming without a phone
  • Fast charging capabilities can reach a full charge in approximately 60-90 minutes

What we don't like about Samsung Galaxy Watch7 LTE 44mm

  • Lackluster battery life, typically requiring daily charging (approx. 24-30 hours with AOD on)
  • Advanced features like ECG, blood pressure, and AI insights are locked to Samsung smartphones
  • Removal of the physical rotating bezel found in previous 'Classic' models
  • GPS accuracy still shows occasional 'wobble' and can slightly overreport distances
  • Some users find the default strap too rigid or uncomfortable
  • Blood pressure monitoring requires frequent calibration with a traditional cuff for accuracy
  • LTE usage significantly accelerates battery drain compared to Bluetooth-only use

Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy Watch7 LTE 44mm features a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED Always-On display (480x480 resolution) protected by sapphire crystal and an Armor Aluminum case with 5ATM and IP68 durability. It is powered by an efficient 3nm Exynos W1000 chipset with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, running Wear OS 5 with One UI 6. Main pros include its standalone LTE connectivity for calls and texts, highly accurate dual-frequency (L1+L5) GPS, and advanced health monitoring via an upgraded 13-LED BioActive sensor that provides AI-powered 'Energy Scores' and FDA-authorized sleep apnea detection. However, notable cons include a relatively short battery life of roughly 24 to 30 hours with the Always-On display enabled, making daily charging necessary for consistent sleep tracking, and the restriction of certain advanced AI features to paired Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
