What we like about Samsung Galaxy Watch6 LTE 44mm

  • Bigger and brighter Super AMOLED display (up to 2,000 nits) that is easy to read in sunlight.
  • Lightweight and comfortable design suitable for all-day wear and sleep tracking.
  • Extensive health and wellness suite, including advanced sleep coaching and skin temperature sensing.
  • Fast and responsive performance due to the upgraded Exynos W930 processor and 2GB of RAM.
  • LTE connectivity allows for standalone calls, texts, and music streaming without a phone nearby.
  • High durability with Sapphire Crystal glass, IP68 water/dust resistance, and MIL-STD-810H compliance.

What we don't like about Samsung Galaxy Watch6 LTE 44mm

  • Mediocre battery life that often requires daily charging, especially with the Always-On Display enabled.
  • Some advanced health features (like ECG and irregular heart rhythm notifications) are exclusive to Samsung Galaxy phones.
  • Occasional heart rate and GPS tracking inaccuracies compared to dedicated sports watches or chest straps.
  • Navigation via the digital touch bezel can be less precise and more prone to overshooting than a physical rotating bezel.
  • The new one-click band release mechanism can sometimes be difficult to trigger without using a fingernail.

Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy Watch6 LTE 44mm features a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED sapphire crystal display with 2,000 nits peak brightness and a shrunken bezel for 20% more screen area. It is powered by the Exynos W930 dual-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, running Wear OS 4 with LTE connectivity for untethered calls and messaging. Main pros include its highly responsive performance, advanced BioActive sensor for ECG and body composition analysis, and a durable IP68/5ATM-rated aluminum build. However, primary cons include a battery life that often requires daily charging, especially with Always-On Display or GPS usage, and the fact that several premium health features are exclusive to users with Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
