Third-party reviews

What we like about FERIETEL B16

  • About 25 minutes per 1800 mAh battery
  • GPS return-to-home, follow-me and waypoints at a low price
  • Brushless motors for steadier flight
  • Light 138 g foldable body
  • 4K recording

What we don't like about FERIETEL B16

  • Fixed camera without gimbal, so video shakes
  • Short Wi-Fi range of about 500 m
  • No user reviews yet
  • Lesser-known brand

Verdict

The FERIETEL B16 is a new budget GPS drone that brings features like return-to-home to a very low price. It weighs just 138 g and folds up small, and brushless motors give it steadier and more durable flight than brushed toy drones. Each 1800 mAh battery is rated for about 25 minutes, a strong figure for this price class. GPS supports return-to-home, follow-me tracking and waypoint flights, which helps beginners fly further with more confidence. The camera records 4K, but it is fixed with no gimbal, so footage will shake in wind and on fast turns. Video travels over Wi-Fi with a short range of about 500 m. As a brand-new model from a lesser-known brand it has no user reviews yet. For a first GPS drone on a tight budget, it covers the essentials.
