What we like about Kospet Tank T3

  • Real use gives about a week or more between charges.
  • Blood pressure monitoring is built in.
  • Irregular heart rate warnings flag changes in rhythm.
  • Emergency SOS gives a way to ask for help.
  • The IP69K rating handles water and dust.
  • 170 exercise modes cover a wide range of training.

What we don't like about Kospet Tank T3

  • There is no GPS, so runs need the phone.
  • Workout sync with the app often fails.
  • The Strava link only imports data and does not export it.
  • Notifications work less well on iPhone than on Android.
  • There is no automatic brightness, so the screen dims annoyingly at night.

Verdict

The Kospet Tank T3 is built around a battery rated at 50 days and a blood pressure reading on the wrist. The 170 exercise modes and swim mode cover a varied week of training. Real use came in at about a week to 15 days, well short of the rated 50 days. Heart rate and blood oxygen readings sit close to a home device, and the irregular heart rate warnings add a safety net. The 461 ppi AMOLED screen is bright and readable in daylight, and the always-on display keeps the time in view. The trade-off is that there is no GPS, so runs need the phone with you. It is a good fit for someone who wants a rugged everyday watch, health checks and long gaps between charges.
