The sharp display and long battery impress, but missing apps and payments, no voice or music features, and weak notifications disappoint.

Verdict

The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 4 is a feature-rich smartwatch featuring a large 1.97-inch AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 600 nits. It is constructed with a durable aluminum alloy frame and a stainless steel rotating crown, offering a premium feel while maintaining a lightweight profile of 31.5g. Key specifications include a 470mAh battery providing up to 20 days of typical use, 5ATM water resistance, and built-in multi-system GNSS for precise outdoor tracking. Its main pros are the outstanding battery life, vibrant and smooth display, and the addition of Bluetooth calling with an integrated speaker and microphone. However, some cons include the lack of third-party app support due to the proprietary HyperOS, a proprietary strap connector that limits third-party band options, and reports of inconsistent heart rate and sleep tracking accuracy for high-intensity athletics.
