What we like about Boat Ultima Regal

  • Premium design with a metallic body and functional crown
  • Large and vibrant 2.01-inch AMOLED display with high brightness (1000 nits)
  • Excellent value for money, often cited as the best in its price range
  • Clear and loud Bluetooth calling quality
  • Stylish appearance that some users compare to premium alternatives like Apple Watch
  • Helpful safety features such as Emergency SOS

What we don't like about Boat Ultima Regal

  • Inconsistent battery life, with some users experiencing rapid drain (less than 2 days) despite the advertised 7 days
  • Slow and occasionally laggy user interface (UI)
  • Limited selection of watch faces (approximately 20 available on the app)
  • Accuracy issues with health tracking sensors (SpO2 and steps)
  • Lack of built-in GPS for outdoor navigation
  • The companion boAt Crest/Wave app can be unstable or stop working for some users

Verdict

The boAt Ultima Regal is a premium smartwatch featuring a 2.01-inch AMOLED display with a 410x502 resolution, Always-On support, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. Its key characteristics include a premium metal build, a functional navigation crown, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Main pros include seamless Bluetooth calling with a built-in dial pad and microphone, a battery life of up to 7 days, and extensive health monitoring via the Crest App for SpO2, heart rate, stress, and sleep tracking across over 100 sports modes. However, potential cons include the lack of built-in GPS for independent route tracking and a reduced battery life of approximately 5 days when using the Always-On display and calling features heavily.
