  • Bright and vibrant 1.75-inch AMOLED display with a responsive touchscreen.
  • Extremely lightweight and comfortable design, making it suitable for 24/7 wear.
  • Comprehensive health tracking features, including heart rate, SpO2, sleep, and stress monitoring.
  • Great value for money, offering premium-like features at a budget-friendly price point.
  • Includes Bluetooth calling and Amazon Alexa support.
  • 5ATM water resistance, making it safe for swimming and showering.

What we don't like about Amazfit Active

  • Heart rate accuracy can be inconsistent, particularly during high-intensity interval training (HIIT).
  • GPS tracking sometimes lacks precision, occasionally showing users off-course on maps.
  • The Zepp companion app can feel cluttered and less intuitive compared to rivals.
  • Lack of contactless payment support.
  • Silicone strap may feel less premium or cause irritation during sweaty workouts.
  • Limited third-party app ecosystem compared to Wear OS or Apple Watch.
  • Slow charging speed, taking nearly two hours for a full recharge.

Verdict

The Amazfit Active is a budget-friendly smartwatch featuring a 1.75-inch AMOLED display with 450x390 resolution and 5ATM water resistance. Its 300mAh battery delivers up to 14 days of typical use or 16 hours of continuous GPS tracking, supported by five satellite positioning systems for route navigation. Main characteristics include the AI-powered Zepp Coach for personalised training, 24-hour health monitoring (heart rate, SpO2, and stress), and a lightweight 24g aluminium alloy frame. Key pros are its exceptional battery life, vibrant always-on display, and integrated Bluetooth calling with Alexa support. However, notable cons include inconsistent GPS and heart rate accuracy during high-intensity intervals, a limited 250MB music storage capacity, and the lack of NFC for contactless payments.
