The Asus VivoWatch SP is a tidy, well-made health tracker lasting about five days per charge, but its setup screens feel dated and it is dim in full sun.

Verdict

The ASUS VivoWatch SP (HC-A05) is a specialized health-tracking wearable featuring a dual-sensor array with ECG and PPG sensors to monitor pulse transit time (PTT), heart rate, blood oxygen (SpO2), and stress levels. Its hardware includes a 1.2-inch high-reflective color LCD, built-in GPS, an altimeter, and a 200mAh battery that offers up to 14 days of life in power-saving mode. Key advantages include its 5 ATM swim-proof durability, lightweight 36g body (without strap), and comprehensive data analysis via the ASUS HealthConnect app. However, users have noted drawbacks such as limited screen brightness in direct sunlight, a lack of emoticon support in notifications, and real-world battery performance that often falls short of the advertised maximum during active use.
