What we like about Huawei Watch GT 5 41mm

  • Elegant and slim 'feminine' aesthetic with high-quality stainless steel build
  • Accurate heart rate and GPS tracking powered by the new TruSense and Sunflower systems
  • Reliable battery life of up to 7 days, significantly outlasting major competitors
  • Vibrant and sharp AMOLED display with high readability even in sunlight
  • Broad compatibility with both Android and iOS devices
  • Lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear and sleep tracking

What we don't like about Huawei Watch GT 5 41mm

  • Lacks advanced 'smart' features like contactless payments and third-party app support
  • Notification interaction is limited; cannot display photos or play voice messages
  • Missing some premium 'Pro' features such as ECG analysis and sapphire glass
  • Sleep tracking can occasionally fail to record periods of being awake during the night
  • Certain health data (like skin temperature) lacks context or automatic interpretation in the app
  • Manual contact syncing is required for calls; it does not automatically pull from the phone's contacts

Verdict

The Huawei Watch GT 5 41mm is a sleek, fashion-forward smartwatch featuring a 1.32-inch AMOLED display with a high pixel density of 352 PPI and a 466 x 466 resolution. Built with a 9.5mm slim stainless steel case weighing just 35g, it integrates the TruSense system for enhanced heart rate, SpO2, and sleep tracking, alongside a dual-frequency Sunflower Positioning System for precise GPS accuracy during outdoor activities. Its main strengths include a robust battery life of up to 7 days, full compatibility with both Android and iOS, and advanced metrics for over 100 workout modes. However, it lacks the premium sapphire glass and ECG capabilities of the Pro model, has a limited third-party app ecosystem, and does not support contactless payments in many regions.
