  • Battery life still requires daily charging (roughly 18-24 hours)

Verdict

The Apple Watch Series 4 44mm features a redesigned chassis that is thinner at 10.7mm and houses a 30% larger LTPO OLED Retina display with a resolution of 368 by 448 pixels and 1000 nits of brightness. Powered by the 64-bit dual-core S4 chip, it offers up to twice the speed of its predecessor and includes 16GB of storage, an electrical heart sensor for ECG readings, fall detection via an improved 32-g accelerometer, and a haptic Digital Crown. Main pros include its significantly improved screen-to-body ratio, advanced health-monitoring capabilities, and a 50% louder speaker for clearer calls. However, it lacks an always-on display and native sleep tracking, and its 18-hour battery life still requires daily charging.
