What we like about Honor 200 Lite (8GB + 256GB)

  • Extremely slim and lightweight design (166g) that is comfortable for one-handed use
  • Bright and vibrant 6.7-inch AMOLED display with high outdoor visibility (up to 2000 nits peak)
  • Impressive 108MP main camera performance, especially for detailed daylight shots and portraits
  • Solid battery endurance, with many users reporting up to 2 days of moderate use
  • Strong 50MP selfie camera that performs well for social media and group shots
  • SGS five-star drop resistance certification for enhanced durability against accidental falls

What we don't like about Honor 200 Lite (8GB + 256GB)

  • Lack of stereo speakers; the single mono speaker is often described as flat or muffled
  • Mediocre performance from the 5MP ultrawide and 2MP macro secondary lenses
  • Slow charging speeds (35W) compared to competitors in the same price range
  • Noticeable software bloatware out of the box (pre-installed third-party apps)
  • Video recording limited to 1080p at 30fps with no optical or electronic image stabilization
  • Missing common hardware features like a 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD storage expansion

Verdict

The Honor 200 (8GB + 256GB) is a premium-feeling mid-range smartphone featuring a powerful and efficient Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and an impressive 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 4000 nits peak brightness. Its key selling point is the versatile, OIS-enabled triple-camera system (50MP main, 50MP telephoto with 2.5x optical zoom, and 12MP ultrawide) which includes AI-powered "Studio Harcourt" portrait modes, along with a 50MP selfie camera, all capable of 4K video recording. A massive 5200mAh silicon-carbon battery provides excellent all-day life and supports rapid 100W wired SuperCharge. Pros include a brilliant display, long battery life, very fast charging, and a capable, versatile camera system, especially for portraits. Cons include the phone's plastic frame, lack of an official IP rating for water/dust resistance (some sources say IP67, others none/splash-proof, so it's not consistent or high-tier), inconsistent camera performance in some specific scenarios (e.g., occasional shutter lag, color shifts on ultrawide), the charger not always being included in the box depending on region, and some pre-installed bloatware.
