What we like about Honor 200 Lite (8GB + 256GB)

  • Extremely slim and lightweight design (166g) that is comfortable for one-handed use
  • Bright and vibrant 6.7-inch AMOLED display with high outdoor visibility (up to 2000 nits peak)
  • Impressive 108MP main camera performance, especially for detailed daylight shots and portraits
  • Solid battery endurance, with many users reporting up to 2 days of moderate use
  • Strong 50MP selfie camera that performs well for social media and group shots
  • SGS five-star drop resistance certification for enhanced durability against accidental falls

What we don't like about Honor 200 Lite (8GB + 256GB)

  • Lack of stereo speakers; the single mono speaker is often described as flat or muffled
  • Mediocre performance from the 5MP ultrawide and 2MP macro secondary lenses
  • Slow charging speeds (35W) compared to competitors in the same price range
  • Noticeable software bloatware out of the box (pre-installed third-party apps)
  • Video recording limited to 1080p at 30fps with no optical or electronic image stabilization
  • Missing common hardware features like a 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD storage expansion

Verdict

The Honor 200 Lite (8GB + 256GB) is a stylish and ultra-slim (6.78 mm, 166g) mid-range 5G smartphone featuring a vibrant 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and an impressive 2000 nits peak brightness. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor, offering smooth performance for daily tasks and good power efficiency for a strong, up to two-day battery life from its 4500 mAh cell with 35W fast charging support. Key strengths include its versatile camera system, highlighted by a sharp 108MP main rear sensor and a 50MP selfie camera, along with a durable, drop-resistant build and ample 256GB non-expandable storage. Potential drawbacks include a lack of a charger in the box (in some regions), a 90Hz refresh rate that is lower than some competitors, an average 2MP macro lens, no 3.5mm headphone jack, and mono sound.
