The Testsieger TV review identifies the Dreame R20 as a powerful, versatile cordless vacuum competing with premium brands, highlighting exceptional suction, effective hair-wrap prevention, and a convenient flexible extension pipe for under-furniture cleaning. While the automatic suction adjustment is praised, the review notes a wobbly feel when using the flexible joint and a significant disparity between the 9-minute "Turbo" battery life and manufacturer marketing claims.

It excels with excellent cleaning performance, a versatile accessory kit, and a specialized blue LED light for illuminating dust, though it suffers from high noise levels, long charging times, and an inability to stand upright on its own.

The Dreame R20 cordless stick vacuum offers an excellent price-to-performance ratio for approximately €400, featuring strong 190AW suction, intelligent dust detection, blue LED floor lights, and a long 80-90 minute runtime, notes HouseControllers. The review highlights a highly responsive auto-suction mode and an impressive, swappable battery offering up to 59 minutes of runtime, though the vacuum cannot stand upright on its own and produces a high-frequency whine at maximum power. Additional downsides include a lack of backward compatibility with older accessories and real-world battery life that falls short of advertised claims.

The Smartzone review of the Dreame R20 highlights it as an impressive cordless vacuum cleaner, featuring a powerful 190 Airwatt (27,000 Pascal) suction, a premium carbon fiber wand design, and an innovative blue light LED illumination system. Key advantages include its highly responsive, intelligent automatic dirt-detection mode and a generous accessory bundle with two distinct floor brushes. However, potential drawbacks are identified as the slightly downgraded technical specifications compared to its V12 Pro predecessor, a relatively heavy 1.75 kg handheld unit, and a less efficient flexible crevice nozzle design.
