Third-party reviews

What we like about Withings ScanWatch Light

  • A battery rated for 30 days means charging is rare.
  • ECG and blood pressure checks add health tracking beyond heart rate.
  • The sleep score shows light and deep sleep phases.
  • Analog hands give it a classic watch look.
  • At 27.1 g it is comfortable enough to sleep in.
  • The readiness score helps you decide how hard to train.

What we don't like about Withings ScanWatch Light

  • No built-in GPS, so distance and pace need your phone.
  • Calls cannot be answered from the watch.
  • Without a touch screen, the small display is awkward to use.
  • The 0.63 inch screen with 400 nits shows only the essentials, and the detail sits in the app.
  • The charger is proprietary, so a standard USB-C cable will not work.

Verdict

At 27.1 g, the Withings ScanWatch Light looks like a classic analog watch, with hands and a small OLED screen for heart rate and alerts. Only 9.85 mm thick, it is easy to forget on the wrist. It is rated for 30 days on a charge, and in tests it lasted over three weeks in real use. Health is the real focus, with ECG, blood pressure checks, a sleep score and guided breathing sessions started from the watch. The trade-off is that it has no GPS, so you need your phone for distance and pace, and the screen is too small for much detail. It suits someone who wants health tracking on a slim, comfortable watch for everyday wear and does not need GPS for runs or rides.
