  • Sharp and vibrant 1.3-inch circular P-OLED display with deep blacks
  • Always-on display mode allows for easy time-checking without waking the device

  • Standard 22mm lugs allow users to easily swap out watch bands
  • Wi-Fi connectivity enables remote notifications even when away from the phone's Bluetooth range
  • Fast charging capabilities, often reaching a full charge in under two hours

What we don't like about LG Watch Urbane

  • Large and bulky form factor that can feel oversized on smaller wrists
  • Lack of an ambient light sensor requires manual brightness adjustments
  • Heart rate monitor performance is often reported as inconsistent or inaccurate during exercise
  • Stock leather strap is frequently described as stiff and initially uncomfortable
  • No built-in GPS, making it less ideal for independent fitness tracking
  • Battery life typically lasts only 1 to 1.5 days, requiring near-nightly charging
  • Software can experience occasional lag or stuttering during navigation

Verdict

The LG Watch Urbane is a premium Android Wear smartwatch featuring a classic 45.5mm stainless steel body and a 1.3-inch full-circle P-OLED display with a 320x320 resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal storage, supported by a 410mAh battery and IP67 dust and water resistance. Key strengths include its elegant, traditional timepiece aesthetic, a vibrant always-on display, and the inclusion of both Wi-Fi and a heart rate monitor. However, it is noted for being quite bulky on smaller wrists, lacking an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness, and having a high price point compared to similar models.
