What we like about Xiaomi Redmi 10A (3GB + 64GB)

  • Long-lasting 5000mAh battery provides extended usage (can last a full day with heavy use or more with light use).
  • Affordable price point and good value for money as a basic or secondary phone.
  • Decent display quality and large 6.53-inch size for media consumption, given the budget price.
  • Good build quality and slick, lightweight design with a comfortable grip, despite the plastic material.
  • Expandable storage via a dedicated microSD card slot (supports up to 1TB).
  • Suitable for basic daily tasks like calls, chatting, and light web browsing.

What we don't like about Xiaomi Redmi 10A (3GB + 64GB)

  • Performance is limited, with the MediaTek Helio G25 processor struggling and causing frequent lag, especially with multitasking or heavy apps.
  • Not suitable for gaming or heavy users; performance issues and overheating can occur.
  • Outdated micro-USB port instead of the modern USB Type-C.
  • Camera quality is basic and inconsistent, with mediocre low-light performance and unimpressive video recording capabilities (max 1080p at 30fps with no stabilization).
  • Slow 10W in-box charger means long charging times (over two hours for a full charge).
  • The plastic body attracts fingerprints easily and is prone to scratches.
  • Comes with pre-installed bloatware and some users report software bugs or issues after updates.
  • Display is only 720p resolution and has a standard 60Hz refresh rate, which is considered a drawback by some users.

Verdict

The Xiaomi Redmi 10A (3GB + 64GB variant) is an ultra-budget smartphone designed for basic daily use, featuring a large 6.53-inch HD+ IPS LCD display and a plastic build. It runs on a MediaTek Helio G25 octa-core processor, offering adequate performance for light tasks and casual browsing. Key pros include its substantial 5000mAh battery for extended life and the inclusion of expandable storage via microSD. However, significant cons involve its reliance on an outdated micro-USB charging port, the single functional 13MP rear camera setup (ignoring the 2MP depth sensor), and the lack of fast charging support.
