  • Excellent battery life, typically lasting a full day with moderate use.

  • In-display fingerprint sensor works reliably.

What we don't like about iQOO Z6 Pro 5G (12GB + 256GB)

  • Lack of stereo speakers (features a single bottom-firing speaker), which impacts the multimedia and gaming experience.
  • No 3.5mm headphone jack, a noted omission from its predecessor, the iQOO Z5.
  • Camera performance is inconsistent, particularly in low light or indoor shots where noise and underexposure can be present; dynamic range can also be bad.
  • Display has only a 90Hz refresh rate, which is a downgrade from the 120Hz panel on the predecessor and a feature commonly found on competitors in the same price range.
  • FuntouchOS includes bloatware and some users report a less polished interface or occasional bugs.
  • The notch design for the selfie camera looks dated compared to modern punch-hole cutouts.
  • The plastic rear panel feels less premium compared to some alternatives.
  • Some users experienced heating issues during charging or intense use.

Verdict

The iQOO Z6 Pro 5G (12GB + 256GB) is a performance-focused mid-range smartphone, featuring a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a powerful Snapdragon 778G 5G processor. Key pros include its fast 66W FlashCharge (50% charge in 18 minutes), a capable 64MP triple rear camera system, a large 4,700mAh battery offering all-day life, and an effective vapor chamber liquid cooling system for gaming. However, notable cons are the dated waterdrop notch design, the absence of a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speakers (only a single bottom-firing speaker), no expandable storage via microSD card, and the presence of some un-installable bloatware in the Funtouch OS.
