What we like about Rowenta RO2981 Swift Power

  • Strong suction power on both hard floors and carpets
  • Lightweight and highly portable design
  • Compact size makes it very easy to store
  • Great value for money with a good price-to-quality ratio
  • Generous selection of useful accessories and attachments
  • Easy to empty and clean the bagless dust container

What we don't like about Rowenta RO2981 Swift Power

  • The power cord is noticeably short, restricting operating radius
  • Can be quite loud during operation (measured around 73-77 dB)
  • Lacks a secure click-lock system for connecting tubes and attachments
  • The telescopic extension wand is on the shorter side for taller users
  • Tends to stick too firmly to some floors, making it harder to push
  • Tends to tip over easily due to its lightweight body

Verdict

The Rowenta RO2981 Swift Power Cyclonic is a compact, corded canister bagless vacuum cleaner featuring a powerful 900W maximum Effitech motor and advanced cyclonic separation technology. Its main characteristics include an agile 3.6 kg body, a 1.2-liter dust reservoir, and a 3-stage filtration system that captures 99.98% of dust particles. Key advantages include an operational radius of 7.6 meters, a dedicated Total Care kit with a mini motorized pet hair brush, and exceptional suction performance on hard floors. However, prominent drawbacks include its high operating noise level of 77 dB, reduced maneuverability on thick carpets, the absence of electronic suction power regulation, and a somewhat tedious process to empty the dust container.
