Verdict

The Vivo Y28 (8GB+256GB, 4G model) is a budget-friendly smartphone focused on longevity and everyday performance, featuring a large 6000 mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge, a 6.68-inch 90Hz HD+ LCD display with a high 1000 nits peak brightness, and dual stereo speakers with 300% volume. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor and runs Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. Pros include its exceptional battery life (lasting up to two days on moderate use), ample 256GB expandable storage (eMMC 5.1), and a durable, IP64 dust and water-resistant build. Key cons are the lack of 5G connectivity (limited to 4G LTE), a relatively low HD+ screen resolution, average camera performance in low light conditions, and the use of the older eMMC 5.1 storage type.
