Verdict

Simple tracking is the job of the LEBEXY S2, a wristband that counts steps and records sleep. Its IP68 rating makes it dust-tight and able to be submerged, so it can stay on through showers, sweaty training and a swim. GPS is built in, which adds route tracking to the steps and sleep. The camera remote control is a small extra that lets you trigger a phone's camera from your wrist, which is handy for group photos. Water resistance means rain and sweat do no harm. The main trade-off is what is missing: there is no heart rate sensor, so the band cannot show effort in any detail. It suits a buyer who wants steps, sleep and GPS in one band and does not mind a basic set of options.
