Verdict
Amewi AMXFlight X4KPro is a fine entry-level drone for beginners at this price, though flying it well takes practice.

Third-party reviews

What we like about Amewi AMXFlight X4KPro

  • Obstacle sensing, rare for a beginner drone
  • Two batteries for around 30 minutes in total
  • Brushless motors for steadier flight
  • Light 149 g foldable body
  • Altitude hold and headless mode

What we don't like about Amewi AMXFlight X4KPro

  • Short range of about 100 m
  • No GPS or return-to-home
  • No gimbal, so video is not stabilised
  • Few user reviews so far

Verdict

The Amewi AMXFlight X4KPro is a foldable brushless beginner drone with obstacle sensing, which is rare at this level. The sensors help it avoid bumping into walls and objects, which reduces crashes for new pilots. Each battery is rated for about 15 minutes, and the bundle includes two batteries for around 30 minutes in total. Brushless motors give it steadier flight and longer life than brushed toys, and at 149 g it stays light and easy to pack. The 8.29 MP camera records 1080p and streams to a phone over Wi-Fi, fine for casual clips. Altitude hold and headless mode simplify control. Range is limited to about 100 m and there is no GPS, so it is meant for flying close by. For a safer first drone with good endurance, it is a thoughtful choice.
