Third-party reviews

Based on 88 buyer reviews from online shops.
Reviews last updated: July 2026 · How we calculate this

What we like about Fujifilm FinePix T300

  • Compact and lightweight body (151g) makes it very portable for daily use
  • Versatile 10x optical zoom lens (28-280mm equivalent) for a pocket-sized camera
  • Effective sensor-shift image stabilization to reduce blur at longer zoom ranges
  • Includes useful features like face detection and in-camera panorama stitching
  • Easy-to-use interface with scene recognition (SR AUTO) suitable for beginners

What we don't like about Fujifilm FinePix T300

  • Below-average image quality with noticeable sharpness falloff at the edges of the frame
  • Poor battery life, rated for only about 180 shots per charge
  • Low-resolution 3.0-inch LCD screen (230k dots) makes it difficult to review fine details or frame in bright light
  • Lack of advanced features such as RAW shooting, manual focus, or manual exposure modes
  • Small 1/2.3" CCD sensor struggles significantly in low-light situations

Verdict

The Fujifilm Finepix T300 is a slim, entry-level compact camera featuring a 14-megapixel 1/2.3-inch CCD sensor and a versatile 10x optical Fujinon zoom lens with a 28–280mm equivalent focal range. Key characteristics include its 3.0-inch LCD screen, 720p HD video recording at 30fps, and dual image stabilisation that combines sensor-shift technology with high ISO sensitivity (up to 3200) to reduce blur. Its main pros are its ultra-portable lightweight design (151g), impressive telephoto reach for its size, and user-friendly features like Motion Panorama and face recognition for up to eight individuals. However, its primary cons include poor battery life rated at only 180 shots, the lack of a viewfinder, no RAW file support, and limited low-light performance due to its small CCD sensor.
