What we like about Honor Power (12GB + 512GB)

  • Exceptional battery life with capacities up to 10,080mAh, lasting over 2 days of normal usage
  • High-quality 1.5K OLED displays with advanced eye protection and high peak brightness
  • Impressive durability, including multi-directional drop resistance and high IP ratings (IP68/IP69K)
  • Superior signal reception in weak areas thanks to the dedicated C1 RF enhancement chip
  • Surprisingly slim and manageable design despite the massive battery size
  • Effective 80W fast charging and useful reverse charging capabilities to power other devices

What we don't like about Honor Power (12GB + 512GB)

  • MagicOS software can feel unpolished with reports of notification handling issues
  • Mid-range performance on some models (Snapdragon 7 Gen 3) compared to flagship competitors
  • Charging speeds (66W/80W) can feel slow given the massive battery capacity relative to smaller-battery phones
  • Camera performance, specifically in low light or for professional video editing, is often viewed as inferior to top-tier flagships
  • Potential software bugs such as lagging in file managers or when playing high-resolution 4K HDR videos

Verdict

The Honor Power (12GB + 512GB) is a specialized 2025 release centered on extreme endurance, headlined by a massive 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery that supports 66W wired charging. It features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 4,000 nits, ensuring visibility in direct sunlight. Internally, it is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of non-expandable storage, running on MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15. Its primary strengths are its class-leading battery life, which can last up to three days, and high-volume stereo speakers offering 300% output. However, notable drawbacks include its substantial 209g weight due to the battery size, a relatively basic camera setup consisting of a 50MP main and only a 5MP ultra-wide lens, and the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack.
