Reviews last updated: June 2026 · How we calculate this

What we like about ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060 Ti OC Edition 8GB

  • Excellent 1080p and capable 1440p gaming performance, especially with DLSS 3 enabled
  • Exceptional power efficiency, requiring only a 550W PSU and a single 8-pin connector
  • Quiet and cool operation, with temperatures often staying below 70°C under load
  • Compact 2.5-slot design (approx. 227mm-267mm) fits easily into smaller PC cases
  • Solid build quality featuring a protective aluminum metal backplate
  • Support for AV1 encoding, which is beneficial for streamers and content creators

What we don't like about ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060 Ti OC Edition 8GB

  • 8GB VRAM is considered insufficient for 4K gaming and may lead to asset stuttering in modern AAA titles at 1440p
  • Minimal raw performance improvement over the previous-gen RTX 3060 Ti
  • 128-bit memory bus width limits bandwidth, causing performance drops at higher resolutions
  • Relatively high price-to-performance ratio compared to some older or competitor cards
  • Some models may lack a physical dual BIOS switch, despite marketing claims

Verdict

The Asus Dual GeForce RTX 4060 Ti OC Edition 8GB is a mid-range graphics card built on NVIDIA’s Ada Lovelace architecture, featuring 4,352 CUDA cores and factory-overclocked boost speeds of up to 2,595 MHz. It utilizes 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit interface with a total bandwidth of 288 GB/s, housed in a compact 2.5-slot design with dual Axial-tech fans and 0dB technology for silent operation under light loads. Its main advantages include high power efficiency at 160W TDP, excellent thermal performance, and support for advanced features like DLSS 3 frame generation and 3rd-generation ray tracing. However, some users may find the 8GB of VRAM and 128-bit bus width limiting for memory-intensive tasks at 1440p or 4K resolutions.
