  • Premium build quality with a sturdy aluminum alloy frame and Gorilla Glass protection
  • Bright, high-resolution circular display with reliable auto-brightness control
  • Comprehensive health sensors for the price, including SpO2 (blood oxygen) and 24/7 heart rate monitoring

What we don't like about Realme Watch S

  • Lack of built-in GPS, requiring a tethered smartphone connection for outdoor route tracking
  • Inaccurate or sluggish fitness tracking, specifically for heart rate during intense workouts and sleep detection
  • Limited smartwatch functionality: users cannot respond to notifications directly from the watch
  • Restricted watch face customisation; many faces lack detailed metrics like seconds or battery percentage
  • No support for swimming tracking or exposure to high-pressure water despite the IP68 rating
  • Proprietary charging base makes finding aftermarket replacements difficult

Verdict

The Realme Watch S is a circular budget smartwatch featuring a 1.3-inch TFT-LCD auto-brightness touchscreen with a 360x360 resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is built with a premium aluminum alloy case and is IP68 water-resistant, supporting 16 sports modes along with real-time heart rate and SpO2 monitoring. Key pros include an impressive battery life of up to 15 days on a single 2-hour charge, a sturdy and stylish design, and smart features like music/camera controls and phone notifications. However, main cons include the lack of built-in GPS, no dedicated swimming tracking mode despite its IP rating, the absence of an Always-on Display, and reported inconsistencies with sleep and heart rate tracking accuracy.
