Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE Wireless 75 Review | 64 Data compared

The Glorious GMMK 3 is an ultra-premium, 81-key mechanical keyboard that earns high praise for its unprecedented, near-infinite customizability and attractive aesthetic options. Designed as an accessible entry point into the keyboard-modding hobby, every major component—including the frame materials, PCB layouts (available in 65%, 75%, and 100%), and switch types—can be tailored using an online website configurator. The specific top-shelf "Pro HE" configuration tested by PCMag utilizes responsive magnetic Raptor MX switches, a heavy brass switch plate for a stable typing experience, and triple connectivity via USB-C, 2.4GHz wireless, or Bluetooth. Tinkering is made exceptionally simple, as the keyboard is very easy to open up using the included screwdriver to swap parts or add mods. However, the primary drawback of the GMMK 3 is its potentially astronomical cost; while a barebones model starts at a reasonable $79.99, top-shelf configurations can skyrocket to a whopping $519, making it a very pricey investment even within the enthusiast market. Additionally, because there are so many component combinations to choose from, individual user experiences regarding sound and typing feel may vary significantly. The reviewer...

The Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE is a premium mechanical keyboard available in 60%, 75%, and 100% form factors that distinguishes itself from the standard version by utilizing a heavy, CNC-machined aluminium bottom case instead of polymer materials. However, the review highlights notable cons, most significantly the keyboard's disappointing sound profile due to a severe lack of internal damping, which results in a loud, sharp, and rattling typing noise. Additionally, the reviewer notes that the $80 premium over...

The review by GamingBible highlights the Glorious GMMK 3 HE Pro Prebuilt Keyboard as an exceptionally versatile, customizable, and fluid hardware option tailored heavily toward a personalized user experience. Priced at £269.99 for the 75% compact layout size, its defining core strength lies in its modularity. The hardware provides an "elevated typing experience" right out of the box with the default Glorious HE Fox switches, delivering a highly satisfying, auditory "clack" with every actuation. To lower the barrier for modification, the manufacturer bundles sample packs containing alternate quiet or clicky swappable switches. The layout further excels with keycaps that are highly accessible to change—demonstrated by the seamless swap to the limited edition GPBT Comic Boom aesthetic. From a performance standpoint, the integration of magnetic Hall Effect Rapid Trigger sensors offers fluid, instantaneous reactivity that instantly resets inputs, making it an excellent choice for intensive "button mashing" or rapid button cycling during gaming. Despite the overwhelming praise for its acoustic options and tactile flexibility, the review subtly points out structural and economic limitations. The most significant downside noted is the steep...

The Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE is an incredibly versatile, highly customisable gaming keyboard available in 65%, 75%, and 100% layouts with an enormous selection of upgrades. Built to order, the premium aluminum review configuration features Hall Effect (HE) linear switches and a brass switch plate, resulting in an exceptionally smooth typing experience and quiet acoustics measuring just 48dB. This model unlocks advanced gaming features through Glorious' Core software, including per-key actuation adjustments, Rapid Trigger mode, and analog response styles ideal for racing or flight simulations. However, buyers face rigid upgrade limitations. Standard wired models cannot be upgraded to wireless configurations later, and standard non-HE circuit boards cannot accept Hall Effect switches. Furthermore, a fully custom configuration is highly expensive—reaching $493.99 for the reviewed unit—and the resulting 2,042g metal frame becomes quite heavy and difficult to move around a desk. The review highlights several key strengths and weaknesses that define the keyboard ecosystem. On the positive side (pros), the GMMK 3 lineup offers near-endless customisation across cases, keycaps, rotary knobs, and switch plates, boasting a brilliant aesthetic and fantastic physical...

The Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE is a premium mechanical keyboard praised for its exceptional build quality and unprecedented customisation options. Using the "Boardsmith" configurator, buyers can fully customise the keyboard's aesthetics and typing feel from scratch across a massive ecosystem of interchangeable cases, switches, plates, and badges. Performance-wise, it stands out for its high 8,000Hz polling rate and universal Hall Effect switch PCB. This unique design allows players to mix and match magnetic Hall Effect switches with standard mechanical 3-pin or 5-pin switches on the same board. These Hall Effect switches enable advanced gaming features such as Rapid Trigger and Dynamic Keystrokes, giving players a distinct advantage in fast-paced shooters. Key Pros & Cons Despite its impressive physical design, the keyboard is held back by major software limitations. Pros: The keyboard delivers a low entry cost for basic models, backwards-compatible PCB design, and a heavily focused, satisfying typing experience. The hot-swappable freedom allows users to continually upgrade their device over time. Cons: The companion software, Glorious Core 2.1, is highly unstable and incomplete. Notable issues include a broken battery...

Furthermore, lackluster, buggy software fails to fully support the hardware, making the high-priced, enthusiast-focused device difficult to recommend over competitors. PCWorld

The Glorious GMMK 3 PRO HE is a premium 75% gaming keyboard featuring excellent latency performance, a sturdy CNC-machined aluminum case, and a versatile hot-swappable PCB compatible with both mechanical and Hall Effect magnetic switches. Its standout features include vibrant RGB lighting, a rotary knob, and highly responsive performance, though it suffers from a stiff, less flexible gasket-mount typing feel. Key drawbacks highlighted by RTINGS include extremely buggy, unreliable software that often fails to save settings, along with minor keycap wobble and hollow-feeling stabilizers. Despite its premium price, the software issues and average typing quality limit its overall appeal compared to competitors.

The TechPowerUp review praises the Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE for its elite construction, featuring a CNC-machined aluminium chassis, and exceptional modularity via the "Boardsmith" configurator. It offers a unique hotswap PCB supporting both MX and Hall Effect (HE) switches, enabling advanced features like Rapid Trigger and dynamic keystrokes, alongside a modular gasket system for tuning typing feel. Conversely, the review highlights significant drawbacks, including a high price tag potentially exceeding $500 and immature software that lacks robust profile and RGB options. Performance issues include poor battery life due to power-hungry HE sensors, inconsistent stabilizer quality, and occasional wireless instability. TechPowerUp

The Glorious GMMK 3 Pro is a premium, heavy-duty mechanical keyboard designed to make enthusiast-level hardware modding highly accessible to the mass market. Weighing a solid 2.85 kg, the 100% form-factor board features a high-end CNC aluminum case with a polished finish, texturized Doubleshot PBT keycaps, a tactile rotary volume knob, and dual RGB side light diffusers. Its standout appeal lies in its "Lego-like" modular design, allowing users to effortlessly unscrew the base to swap out 7 key design components, including top/bottom frames, switch plates, gaskets for sound dampening, and switches. In gaming, particularly for competitive shooters like Valorant and Counter-Strike, the adjustable key actuation significantly boosts movement accuracy once dialed in. However, the keyboard is not without...

Glorious GMMK 3 HE Review Summary The standard Glorious GMMK 3 HE (75% wired layout) serves as an entry-level, modular jumping-off point for keyboard enthusiasts, but it delivers a mixed, average experience right out of the box for its $190/£190 price tag. On the positive side, it features an exceptionally clever modular design that allows users to seamlessly swap out components—supporting both standard MX mechanical switches and Glorious's custom magnetic options. The out-of-the-box typing experience is a highlight, as the pre-installed Fox linear magnetic Hall effect switches provide a silky smooth, crisp, and robust reflex that ensures excellent typing precision. Additionally, it includes premium GPBT doubleshot keycaps and a generous assortment of bundled accessories, including a braided cable, custom tools, and spare switches. Despite these strengths, the base keyboard is heavily criticized for its cheap-feeling construction and high cost. The default plastic chassis suffers from a noticeable flex and a distracting "rustling" internal noise caused by a thin, fragile dampening foam layer. Furthermore, the accompanying companion software is outdated, fiddly, and unreliable, occasionally failing to save custom macros. While upgrading...

Despite its premium features, the keyboard suffers from several software and design oversights. While its physical construction makes swapping plates and internal components faster by reducing internal screws, the accompanying GMMK Core software is basic and buggy. Notably, the software's battery indicator remains stuck at 100%, leaving users with a flashing red LED on the hardware as their only warning before the keyboard abruptly dies. Furthermore, wireless battery performance falls slightly short of its 24-hour rating at around 20 hours with lighting active, and the rear connectivity switches completely lack clear labels indicating the current input mode.
