What we like about ASUS ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE

  • High-performance Hall Effect (HE) magnetic switches with customizable actuation (0.1 to 3.5mm)
  • Extremely responsive with 8,000Hz polling rate and Rapid Trigger support
  • Excellent build quality and 6-layer sound dampening for a premium, quiet typing feel
  • Convenient physical controls including an adjustment wheel and interactive touch panel
  • Lightweight, web-based 'Gear Link' software is more user-friendly than standard Armoury Crate
  • Portable design with an included protective carrying case

What we don't like about ASUS ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE

  • High price point compared to competitors from brands like Wooting or Keychron
  • Wired-only connection (no wireless/Bluetooth options available for this model)
  • Proprietary switch design limits customization and compatibility with third-party switches
  • All-plastic construction may feel less premium to some users given the cost

Verdict

The ASUS ROG Falchion Ace 75 HE is a high-performance 75% compact wired gaming keyboard featuring hot-swappable ROG HFX V2 magnetic switches with adjustable actuation ranging from 0.1 to 3.5 mm. It boasts an 8000 Hz polling rate for a 0.125 ms response time and includes specialized gaming features like Rapid Trigger and Speed Tap (SOCD) for competitive advantages in shooters. Main characteristics include a six-layer dampening design for improved acoustics, an onboard adjustment wheel for real-the-fly tuning, and a multi-functional interactive touch panel. Key pros are its exceptional precision, intuitive physical controls, and the inclusion of a protective carrying case. However, its main cons include a high price point and limited customizability due to its reliance on proprietary ASUS magnetic switches.
