Glorious GMMK 3 HE Wireless 75 Review | 64 Data compared

The Glorious GMMK 3 HE Pro prebuilt keyboard (£269.99 for the 75% layout) is highly praised for delivering a fluid, highly reactive typing experience that is exceptionally well-suited for fast-paced gaming and rapid key mashing. The review highlights excellent pros, starting with its high-quality acoustics and satisfying, customisable clicky sound profile. It offers massive customisation options for a prebuilt model, including hot-swappable Glorious HE Fox switches (with various sample switches included to test sound profiles) and easily replaceable keycaps like the GPBT Comic Boom limited edition set. Additionally, its hardware features instantaneous rapid triggers that reset immediately, ensuring highly responsive inputs and durable build quality meant for longevity. However, the keyboard does come with a few notable cons and potential drawbacks. The most prominent barrier is its steep financial cost, retailing at a premium price point of £269.99, though the reviewer notes this is still cheaper than designing a fully custom keyboard from scratch. While the keyboard includes multiple sample switches for testing different acoustic profiles, it only provides a few loose pieces of each type rather than enough to...

The Glorious GMMK 3 HE stands out as an incredibly customisable and repairable Hall Effect (HE) magnetic keyboard that uniquely allows users to mix and match both magnetic and mechanical switches on the same PCB. Designed for easy disassembly using a single included Phillips head screwdriver, the board features press-fit rubber feet that require no glue or tape, ensuring components can be swapped repeatedly without damage. Glorious offers a massive ecosystem of parts—including top plates, metal knobs, and coiled cables—alongside six distinct magnetic switch options like the linear Fox and unique tactile Panda HE switches. Users can fully customise their build through the "Boardsmith" online configurator, which offers high-end upgrades like metal baseplates and PORON gaskets. Despite its high versatility, the keyboard suffers from premium pricing and notable performance quirks. The off-the-shelf standard plastic model costs £200, while a fully loaded metal configuration skyrockets to a massive £490.99. At the £200 entry point, the stock keycaps and plastic volume knob feel noticeably cheap, and the default red Fox switches produce a loud, unappealing clack. Furthermore, despite supporting an 8,000Hz polling...

The Glorious GMMK 3 is a highly customizable mainstream gaming keyboard that introduces a step-by-step custom board builder called the GMMK 3 Boardsmith, allowing users to choose everything from the layout, sizing (65%, 75%, or full-size), and materials down to the specific switches, keycaps, and rotary knob colors. A major standout feature of the keyboard is its innovative magnetic PCB, which uniquely supports both standard mechanical switches and magnetic Hall Effect (HE) switches on the same board. When equipped with HE switches, gamers gain access to advanced options like Rapid Trigger, Dynamic Keystroke, and Mod Tap, while boasting a high 8,000 Hz polling rate over both wired and wireless (2.4GHz) connections. Visually, the enthusiast-level aluminum case construction is incredibly solid and hefty, weighing up to 6.31 pounds for the full-size version, and features smooth factory-lubed switches paired with a comfortable Cherry profile keycap layout. However, these high-end features come at a steep premium, as pricing can skyrocket up to $608 depending on personalization, making it excessively expensive compared to other mainstream gaming peripherals. On the downside, the review notes that...

The Glorious GMMK 3 HE (75% wired version) is an enthusiast gaming keyboard designed around extreme customisation, earning a score of 73 from PC Gamer. Its biggest strength lies in its modular design, allowing users to effortlessly disassemble the hardware to swap out components or completely build a bespoke layout using the online "Boardsmith" tool. Out of the box, the keyboard features highly responsive, smooth Glorious Fox linear magnetic Hall effect switches and durable GPBT doubleshot keycaps that offer a crisp, robust typing feel. While the customisation potential can yield a magnificent, heavy-duty mechanical keyboard, upgrading the parts can easily send the total cost skyrocketing to a staggering $467. The primary drawbacks stem from the stock model's poor value and disappointing base construction. At a retail price of $190/£190, the standard chassis relies on a cheap, plastic frame that flexes under pressure, making a strange rustling noise from a thin internal dampening layer and producing a hollow sound. Furthermore, the customisation software feels outdated, unintuitive, and unreliable during testing, occasionally forgetting saved macros. Ultimately, the reviewer notes that while a...

The Glorious GMMK 3 HE is a customizable gaming keyboard that introduces a unique dual-socket PCB supporting both Hall Effect (HE) magnetic and 3/5-pin mechanical switches. Tested in its 75% layout, the board delivers strong gaming performance features including Rapid Trigger, an 8,000Hz polling rate, and adjustable actuation depths down to 0.1mm. It provides vibrant, north-facing RGB lighting with additional side light strips, and it offers a highly cushioned typing feel due to its gasket-mounted design. Users who enjoy tailoring their hardware will appreciate the extensive checkout customization options available through Glorious's online store, alongside intuitive companion software for key mapping and profiles. Despite these innovative features, the keyboard suffers from significant build and value shortcomings that result in a low recommendation score. Priced steeply at $189, its structural construction relies on a hollow, scratchy ABS plastic case that exhibits loose physical movement between the top and bottom frames. Furthermore, the pre-assembled GPBT shine-through keycaps feel cheap and tacky compared to less expensive competitors. The board's gaming software is also under-specced, completely omitting popular magnetic features like customizable SOCD resolution...

The Glorious GMMK 3 is an ultra-premium, highly customizable mechanical keyboard designed to ease users into the keyboard-modding hobby without requiring them to build a board from scratch. In this review of the 75% Pro HE configuration, the keyboard achieved an "Excellent" 4.0-star rating and earned an Editors' Choice award for its extensive aesthetic and functional choices. Through an online configurator, buyers can mix and match vital components including the frame material (plastic or aluminum), different PCB layouts (65%, 75%, or 100%), and connection types like wired or wireless (2.4GHz and Bluetooth). The tested Pro HE model featured premium magnetic Raptor MX switches on a hot-swappable PCB, a heavy brass switch plate for a "thoccier" sound profile, per-key RGB backlighting, and dual layout support for Windows and Mac. It integrates with Glorious Core 2.1 software to customize actuation points and manage profile settings. The review highlights distinct advantages alongside a few significant drawbacks. On the positive side, the GMMK 3 offers near-infinite customizability, highly attractive aesthetics, and a streamlined disassembly process that includes bundled tools (a screwdriver, keycap, and switch...

The Glorious GMMK 3 HE review praises the keyboard as an exceptionally customizable, 75% form factor peripheral that acts as an accessible entry point for users wanting to try Hall Effect (HE) magnetic switches. Its absolute standout feature is the unique hot-swap PCB, which not only supports a wide range of Glorious' own HE switches (including rare tactile and clicky magnetic options) but is also fully backward compatible with standard 5-pin MX mechanical switches. This hybrid design gives users a safety net to swap down to traditional mechanical switches if they dislike the HE experience. On the performance front, the keyboard delivers a highly smooth, great-sounding out-of-the-box typing experience and utilizes an 8,000Hz polling rate alongside essential gaming features like Rapid Trigger, adjustable actuation, mod tap, and dynamic keystrokes. However, the reviewer highlights notable drawbacks, primarily regarding its feature set and structural composition. Despite the competitive price of $189.99, the prebuilt version features an all-plastic case, which makes it look similar to generic layouts on the market. In terms of high-end gaming performance, it is not the fastest HE keyboard...

The TechPowerUp review of the Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE Wireless highlights a highly modular keyboard featuring robust CNC aluminum construction, extensive customization via the Boardsmith configurator, and responsive Hall Effect magnetic switches with an 8,000 Hz polling rate. Performance-oriented features like rapid trigger and adjustable actuation make it a strong candidate for gaming, while the modular design allows for significant aesthetic and functional tweaks. YouTube · Conversely, the review notes a very high price point that can exceed $500, alongside disappointing, inconsistent stabilizer quality given the premium cost. Additionally, the Glorious Core software is described as buggy with unreliable profile saving, and the always-on HE sensors lead to poor wireless battery life. Users can heavily personalize layouts via the Boardsmith configurator, allowing for a tailored, premium, and highly adaptable typing experience. However, the review details significant flaws, primarily sub-par, buggy software that hampers the advanced feature set. Additionally, poor wireless stability and very short battery life, combined with a high price point, cause these digital issues to overshadow the impressive physical design. PCWorld

The primary pros of the Glorious GMMK 3 include its near-infinite customizability, highly attractive aesthetic options, and an easy-to-open design that comes with a packed-in screwdriver for effortless tinkering. However, its biggest con is the steep pricing curve; while a barebones model starts at a reasonable $79.99, top-shelf configurations can skyrocket to a whopping $519, making it a hefty investment compared to pre-built rivals. Additionally, because the board relies heavily on user-selected parts, overall...

It accommodates both standard mechanical MX and magnetic Hall Effect (HE) switches, providing top-tier, fast, and reliable performance for competitive gaming and extended typing sessions. The keyboard's major pros include its limitless modular customization, ease of modding, high-quality keycaps, and superb rapid-trigger precision. However, it is held back by minor cons like an underwhelming wireless battery life that requires recharging every two to three days. Additionally, the standard aluminum switch plate yields a disappointing, hollow acoustic performance, though this sound profile can be easily remedied by upgrading to a more flexible polycarbonate or FR4 plate.
