What we like about 4DRC V13

  • About 13 minutes per battery, long for its class
  • Foldable and easy to carry
  • Altitude hold and headless mode for beginners
  • 1080p live view on a phone
  • Very low price

What we don't like about 4DRC V13

  • Small 1.92 MP sensor gives soft video
  • No GPS or return-to-home
  • Brushed motors wear faster
  • Older 2021 design

Verdict

The 4DRC V13 is a foldable beginner drone with a 1080p camera, sold to both kids and adults as an easy first step into flying. Its standout point is battery life: each pack is rated for about 13 minutes, which is longer than most toy-class drones manage. The camera uses a small 1.92 MP sensor and streams video to a phone over Wi-Fi, so footage is good enough for casual sharing but not for anything sharp or smooth. Altitude hold and headless mode take care of the trickier parts of control. Brushed motors keep the price down but are less durable than brushless designs, and there is no GPS, so the drone drifts outdoors and cannot return home by itself. Launched in 2021, it is an older design, yet it remains a cheap and simple way to start.
