Verdict

The Miele Guard M1 Parquet XL (model 12704680) is a premium bagged cylinder vacuum cleaner equipped with a powerful 890W motor, an extra-wide 41 cm Parquet Twister floorhead engineered specifically for large hard floors, a generous 4.5-litre dust bag capacity, and an AirClean Plus filtration system that captures 99.999% of microscopic particles. Main pros include its exceptional, time-saving performance on delicate hardwood surfaces, a massive 11-metre operating radius with convenient single-touch Comfort cable rewind, an adjustable telescopic wand, and an automatic self-sealing bag mechanism that minimizes dust exposure. However, potential cons include its lack of a motorized brush roll making it less effective on deep-pile carpets, its relatively heavy and bulky canister design, and the ongoing maintenance costs of replacing proprietary dust bags and filters.
