When should you consider buying a Makita cordless vacuum?
A Makita cordless vacuum makes sense when the home or workshop already uses 18 V LXT batteries and needs a light tool for crumbs, sawdust, stairs or a vehicle. The 1.2–1.3 kg body is easy to carry, and a battery can move between the vacuum and compatible tools.
These models are not designed to replace a high-output powered-head vacuum on deep carpet. Output near 30 W and 4–5 kPa suits surface debris and hard floors, while the simple floor nozzle provides little carpet agitation.
The bare-tool price can look low because battery and charger are often excluded. For a first-time Makita buyer, add those costs before comparing with a complete household vacuum package.
