What we like about Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12 2 WiFi (3GB + 64GB)

  • Large 12.2-inch high-resolution (2560x1600) display provides excellent clarity for reading and media
  • Robust multitasking with Multi Window support for up to four apps simultaneously
  • Long-lasting 9,500mAh battery can often provide up to two days of moderate use
  • Powerful productivity software suite included for business-oriented tasks
  • Expandable storage via microSD slot for up to an additional 64GB
  • Surprisingly thin and lightweight design given the massive screen size

What we don't like about Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12 2 WiFi (3GB + 64GB)

  • Cumbersome to hold and difficult to use with one hand due to its sheer size
  • High price point compared to smaller high-end tablets or laptops
  • Build quality feels less than premium, with a plastic 'faux leather' back and occasional creaking
  • Lack of S Pen support, unlike the nearly identical Galaxy Note Pro 12.2
  • Occasional software lag or 'hiccups' despite the high-end hardware specs
  • Limited availability of dedicated third-party accessories like cases and keyboards

Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 WiFi (SM-T900) is a productivity-focused tablet featuring a massive 12.2-inch Super Clear LCD display with a 2560 x 1600 WQXGA resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It is powered by an Exynos 5 Octa 5420 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable via a microSD slot up to 64GB. Key advantages include its vibrant high-resolution screen ideal for multitasking with the 'Magazine UX' and four-window split-view, excellent stereo speakers, and a large 9,500mAh battery for extended usage. However, notable drawbacks include its significant weight (732g) making one-handed use difficult, a faux-leather plastic build that some find less than premium, and the absence of the S Pen stylus found in its Note counterpart.
