Verdict

The Black+Decker FSMH1321-GB is a versatile 1300W 7-in-1 steam mop featuring a 500ml water tank, a 6-metre power cable, and AutoSelect technology to automatically regulate steam based on floor type. Main pros include a rapid 15-second heat-up time providing up to 20 minutes of continuous runtime, chemical-free sanitisation that kills 99.9% of bacteria, and a detachable handheld unit with multiple cleaning accessories. However, notable cons include a relatively short cable length and potential water leakage from the filler cap.

What customers like about Black+Decker FSMH1321-GB?

  • Heats up extremely quickly, typically within 15 to 25 seconds.
  • Highly versatile all-in-one system with a detachable handheld unit.
  • Effective at deep cleaning and sanitizing surfaces without the need for chemical detergents.
  • Lightweight design paired with a 180-degree swivel head makes it highly maneuverable around furniture.
  • Eco-friendly, reusable microfiber pads glide smoothly and lift dirt effectively.
  • Generates a powerful and consistent volume of steam to dissolve stubborn stains and grease.

What customers dislike about Black+Decker FSMH1321-GB?

  • The 6-meter electrical cord lacks a convenient built-in storage wrap system.
  • Can leave a noticeable amount of excess moisture and wet streaks on certain floor types like tiles.
  • The specific accessory kit variant can be confusing as certain parts like the cleaning glove are sometimes sold separately.
  • Struggles to completely lift deeply set, old grout stains despite the included specialized grout brush accessory.
  • The water reservoir has an unusual opening shape that makes it prone to spills unless filled very carefully or with a funnel.
