Verdict

The Polti Vaporetto SV440_DOUBLE is a versatile 1500W corded 2-in-1 steam mop featuring a detachable handheld cleaner capable of sanitising up to 15 different surfaces by eliminating 99.9% of viruses, germs, and bacteria without chemical agents. Key characteristics include a lightweight 2.4 kg frame, an ultra-fast 15-second heat-up time, an integrated anti-limescale filter, and a flexible Vaporforce brush equipped with a built-in Frescovapor deodoriser dispenser to spread fragrance while cleaning. The main pros are its agility, hands-free cloth attachment system, and a 6.4-metre power cord that provides a generous 7.5-metre operating reach. However, noted drawbacks include a relatively small 0.3-litre water tank capacity, the lack of an on/off switch on the main body, and a design that makes it somewhat awkward to empty completely.
