The Corsair K70 RGB TKL Champion Series is a high-performance, tenkeyless (TKL) mechanical gaming keyboard tailored for competitive esports. In their evaluation, APH Networks highlights its standout pros, which include a compact, travel-friendly layout, ultra-responsive Cherry MX Speed switches with a smooth linear travel, and an impressive 8,000Hz polling rate powered by AXON hyper-processing technology. The keyboard excels in build quality, offering bright, vivid per-key RGB backlighting, a premium textured volume roller, dedicated media keys, and highly durable PBT double-shot keycaps. Additionally, it features a unique physical Tournament Switch on the back that instantly locks the board into a distraction-free static backlight color and safely disables all custom macros to strictly comply with tournament guidelines. Despite these strong features, the review identifies several notable cons regarding its overall ergonomics and tactile performance. A primary drawback is that the keyboard does not come with a wrist rest, which may lead to wrist fatigue during prolonged typing or gaming sessions. While the Cherry MX Speed switches provide a crisp, responsive feel across the standard layout, the reviewer notes that longer keys—specifically the...

The Corsair K70 RGB TKL Champion Series is a high-performing, ten-keyless (TKL) mechanical keyboard priced at an MSRP of $139.99, which the reviewer notes can often be found discounted to around $100. The keyboard is available with Cherry MX Red or Cherry MX Red Speed (Silver) switches, providing a smooth typing experience that is noticeably better and less clacky than competing models from Razer or Roccat. A major highlight of this specific model is its physical "tournament mode" slider switch located on the back next to the removable USB-C port. Activating this instantly strips away custom presets to ensure compliance with strict tournament rules, which the reviewer also found highly useful for maintaining standard device compatibility when hot-plugging the keyboard into work computers. Additionally, the keyboard ships with optional textured, contoured keycaps designed for MOBA games like League of Legends to keep fingers securely in position during intense matches. The reviewer scored the keyboard a highly positive 9.5 out of 10, highlighting several core pros and cons. On the positive side, it successfully packs full-sized media keys and a convenient...

The Corsair K70 RGB TKL Champion Series Optical-Mechanical gaming keyboard (K70 OPX) is a durable, tournament-ready peripheral that updates its predecessor with Corsair's linear OPX optical switches. Built with a lightweight black aluminum chassis and non-slip PBT double-shot keycaps, this tenkeyless (TKL) board eliminates the numpad to focus on a smaller, portable footprint. Its core strengths lie in its extreme speed and responsiveness, driven by a 1mm switch actuation distance with zero debounce and a massive 8,000Hz polling rate powered by AXON tech. Additionally, it features excellent dedicated media controls—including a diamond-textured volume dial—a removable braided USB Type-C cable, a physical tournament lock switch, and extensive customization through iCUE software, which saves up to 50 profiles on its 8MB of onboard storage. Despite its premium build and exceptional gaming performance, the keyboard has notable drawbacks. The per-key RGB backlighting is a major low point, appearing pastel-like, washed out, and dull even at maximum brightness. It is also quite large for a standard TKL frame, and the center panel only serves to display an illuminated logo instead of a functional LED...

The Corsair K70 RGB TKL Champion Series is an outstanding, highly balanced tenkeyless (TKL) gaming keyboard designed to bridge the gap between compact layouts and feature-rich, full-sized models. Retailing at $139.99, it earns an Editors' Choice award for combining luxury and high-performance esports engineering into a durable, brushed aluminum chassis. Standout pros include the rare integration of dedicated media controls, profile buttons, and a volume roller on a TKL layout, alongside a physical Tournament Mode switch to disable accidental macro activations. Additionally, it features high-quality Cherry MX Red or Speed Silver switches, a detachable USB-C cable for portability, and robust software customization via iCue capable of storing up to 20 unique onboard profiles. However, the keyboard does present a few minor cons, primarily centered around its headline marketing feature and premium pricing. The core drawback is its 8000Hz "hyperpolling" rate, which is deemed unnecessary and a bit of a gimmick because the difference in input latency compared to standard 1000Hz keyboards is virtually imperceptible during real-world gameplay. The keyboard is also slightly more expensive than average tenkeyless alternatives and lacks...

Built with a sturdy 0.9kg brushed aluminium frame and stable rubber feet, it maximizes desk space by omitting the number pad. It features low-force Cherry MX Red or Speed switches with a rapid 1.2mm actuation point, alongside durable 1.5mm moulded keycaps that deliver a loud, satisfying auditory click. Performance is heavily optimized for fast-paced competitive gameplay, boasting native 8,000Hz hyper-polling that registers keypresses up to eight times faster than standard keyboards. Setup is streamlined via a detachable braided USB-3 cable, and users can deeply personalize their experience through the iCue desktop app to program keys, manage app-specific profiles, and layer complex RGB lighting. The review highlights several prominent advantages, most notably the per-key RGB backlighting system that offers up to 20 customizable layers and syncs seamlessly with other Corsair peripherals. It also earns praise for its highly functional "Tournament Switch" on the back, which instantly disables custom macros and activates a static lighting profile to...

The keyboard includes premium extras such as dedicated media controls with a volume roller, 8MB of onboard storage for custom profiles, and a unique tournament mode switch that disables macros and sets static lighting to ensure competitive compliance. The keyboard’s primary strengths lie in its incredibly sturdy, compact design and highly responsive performance, further enhanced by extensive customisation via the iCue software. Reviewers praised the "buttery smooth" keystrokes and the inclusion of raised, curved WASD keys that benefit first-person shooter gameplay. However, its significant drawback is the high price point of $139.99 (£139.99), which is considered expensive for a tenkeyless model. While it lacks a num pad and a wireless connection, it remains a top-tier choice for those prioritizing portability and professional-grade responsiveness over budget. Are you looking for a...

The Corsair K70 RGB TKL is a top-tier tenkeyless mechanical keyboard designed for competitive gaming, featuring exceptionally low latency, an 8,000Hz polling rate, and durable, shine-resistant PBT keycaps. It boasts highly responsive linear switches and a dedicated tournament mode switch that disables macros and sets a static backlight. Conversely, the keyboard lacks a wrist rest, which may lead to discomfort during long, intensive, or typing-focused sessions. Furthermore, its highly sensitive linear switches can cause increased typos, and it is designed for wired-only, desktop-bound usage rather than flexible HTPC scenarios.

Designed specifically for competitive gaming, it features premium Cherry MX Red linear switches, durable PBT double-shot keycaps, per-key RGB lighting, and an aluminum frame. Standout hardware additions include a detachable USB Type-C cable and a dedicated "Tournament Switch" on the back that instantly disables macros and custom profiles to ensure tournament compliance. It also boasts a blistering 8,000Hz hyperpolling rate to minimize keystroke latency, though the real-world performance benefit of this speed boost felt minimal during actual gameplay. The keyboard presents a distinct mix of pros and cons for prospective buyers. On the positive side, it delivers an exceptionally sturdy design and a superb typing feel that actually improved the reviewer's typing speed. It offers robust customisation options through Corsair's iCUE software, including the ability to disable accidental Windows key or Alt+Tab presses during intense matches. It is packed with highly sought-after features, including genuine Cherry MX Speed switches that feel light, consistent, and responsive. Other major pros include vibrant and even full RGB backlighting, durable double-shot PBT keycaps, dedicated media keys, and a separate volume wheel. Designed for competitive gaming, it boasts a hardware tournament mode switch to disable macros and distracting lights, alongside AXON Hyper-Processing Technology that pushes the polling rate up to an ultra-fast 8000Hz. Additionally, Corsair's iCUE software provides user-friendly and adequate customization options. Despite its high quality, the reviewer notes a few minor areas for improvement. The primary cons are the omission of a wrist rest out of the box and an iCUE utility layout that could make saving profiles more visible and obvious to the user. However, these complaints are minor nitpicks for a keyboard that justifies its $140 USD price tag. Ultimately, APH Networks awarded the keyboard a 7.8/10 rating, concluding that it stands as one of the best...

The review praises the vibrant, in-person visual quality and the near-infinite customization options available through the robust, yet complex, iCUE software ecosystem. While the illumination is a significant pro, the steep learning curve of the software is noted as a, con. The keyboard is praised for delivering on premium, high-fidelity visual aesthetics.

The UnbxTech review highlights the Corsair K70 RGB TKL Champion Series as a premium, tournament-focused mechanical keyboard featuring a durable brushed aluminum frame and an 8,000Hz polling rate for low latency. Key advantages noted include the dedicated "Tournament Switch" for compliance, PBT double-shot keycaps, and a convenient metal volume roller, all within a space-saving tenkeyless layout. Conversely, the review points out that the keyboard lacks an included wrist rest and suffers from noticeable case pinging and shaky stabilizers on larger keys. While the Cherry MX switches provide superior, fast response for gaming, they may lead to accidental typos, and the high price point makes this a specialized tool rather than a general-purpose keyboard. It leverages OPX optical switches for instant actuation and CORSAIR AXON technology for an 8,000Hz polling rate, backed by extensive onboard profile storage. Conversely, the review notes a hollow acoustic profile, the absence of a wrist rest, and difficult disassembly, alongside the inclusion of cheaper ABS keycaps in the accessory kit. Additionally, the high-sensitivity switches may cause accidental keystrokes, and the iCUE software can be demanding for some users.
