The Corsair K70 Core TKL Wireless on the test bench - Basic Tutorials

The Corsair K70 Core TKL Wireless RGB is an 80% tenkeyless mechanical gaming keyboard featuring pre-lubricated Corsair MLX Red v2 switches, which offer improved stability and a highly pleasant typing feel across an 80-million-keystroke lifespan. Designed with an aluminum cover plate for excellent torsion resistance and dual sound-absorbing layers to dampen typing noise, the keyboard delivers high-quality workmanship alongside useful gaming additions like FlashTap technology for instant movement prioritisation. The wireless variant expands upon the wired model by including a removable magnetic palm rest, a detachable USB-C cable, a Slipstream wireless receiver, Bluetooth support, and an exceptional battery life of up to 1,000 hours. Furthermore, Corsair's iCUE software allows for extensive customization of per-key RGB lighting, macros, profile saving, and physical dial configuration without requiring an account. While the keyboard earns a strong recommendation and a high overall rating of 90, it does have a distinct drawback regarding its accessories. The main con identified in the review is the material of the included palm rest; although the padding is comfortable, the plastic base is too thin, causing it to easily...

Corsair K70 Core TKL Keyboard Review

The review evaluates the Corsair K70 Core TKL mechanical gaming keyboard and its wireless counterpart, highlighting its performance and build quality designed for competitive gamers. On the positive side, both models feature a robust brushed aluminium top plate and factory-lubricated Corsair MLX Red V2 linear switches, delivering a smooth, responsive, and relatively quiet typing experience due to dual-layer sound-dampening foam. The space-saving TenKeyLess (TKL) layout improves ergonomics by positioning the mouse closer to the keyboard. Furthermore, the board includes vibrant per-key RGB backlighting and a highly functional, programmable media rotary dial, all fully customisable through the Corsair iCUE Software with the capacity to store five onboard profiles. However, to maintain a competitive price point, the reviewer points out several material and connectivity concessions. The main drawback of the standard €100 wired edition is the use of ABS keycaps, which are less durable than premium PBT plastic and prone to developing a shiny texture over time, alongside a total lack of wireless connectivity. While the upgraded €150 K70 Core TKL Wireless resolves this by integrating low-latency Slipstream v1.5 and Bluetooth connections...

Corsair K70 Core TKL & Wireless Review - As Good as the Pro Model?

The Xboxygen review finds the Corsair K70 Core TKL Wireless to be a compelling, mid-range tenkeyless keyboard that brings premium features to a more accessible price point, highlighting its sturdy aluminum top plate and smooth, pre-lubricated MLX Red v2 switches. The keyboard boasts impressive, quiet performance, versatile connectivity via Slipstream Wireless and Bluetooth, and vibrant RGB lighting. Conversely, to maintain a lower price point, the device features paint-finished ABS keycaps that lack the longevity of PBT, rather than a hot-swappable PCB, and can suffer from a less-responsive rotary dial. Additionally, the required iCUE software for customization is noted as being resource-heavy.

The NextGenTech.it review highlights the Corsair K70 Core TKL RGB as an excellent, budget-friendly mechanical gaming keyboard priced around 100€. The reviewer praises its spacesaving TenKeyLess (TKL) layout, which clears up valuable desk space for competitive mouse movements without cluttering the directional arrow keys. Its physical build stands out due to a premium, brushed aluminum top plate and a multi-functional control dial for managing volume, scrolling, and zooming. Performance-wise, the inclusion of factory pre-lubricated Corsair MLX Red v2 linear switches combined with dual-layer sound dampening foam results in a highly fluid typing experience with significantly dampened, quiet acoustic feedback. Gamers also benefit from advanced features integrated into the iCUE software, such as vibrant per-key RGB customisation and FlashTap (SOCD) support for simultaneous key-press priority. However, the review points out a few limitations to consider before purchasing. On the hardware side, the base configuration of this keyboard is strictly wired-only, meaning users looking for seamless wireless or Bluetooth desk setups will need to explicitly upgrade to a pricier wireless version. Additionally, to keep costs affordable, Corsair opts for standard ABS double-shot...

Corsair K70 Core TKL (Wireless) RGB review

The review on Hardware-Helden evaluates the Corsair K70 Core TKL and K70 Core TKL Wireless RGB mechanical gaming keyboards, ultimately awarding both variants a Silver Award. The keyboards feature a compact tenkeyless footprint with a sturdy brushed aluminum top plate and are equipped with pre-lubricated Corsair MLX Red v2 linear switches, providing a smooth and remarkably quiet typing acoustics. A key highlight of the wireless version is its versatile tri-mode connectivity (ultra-fast Slipstream 1.5 wireless, Bluetooth, and wired USB), alongside impressive claimed battery runtimes reaching up to 2,400 hours via Bluetooth with the RGB backlighting off. Additionally, the review praises the extensive layout customization options available through Corsair's iCUE software, the integration of a multi-functional rotary control dial, a dedicated Game Mode button, and the innovative FlashTap movement-prioritization system. On the flip side, the review points out several budget-minded compromises, most notably the use of thin, 1mm laser-cut ABS keycaps that feel subpar for a keyboard priced at or above the €100 mark and are highly prone to showing finger stains quickly. Furthermore, the pre-lubed linear switches are not hot-swappable,...
