The ROG STRIX SCOPE NX TKL DELUXE is a premium, tenkeyless gaming keyboard reviewed by Tech Critter, prominent for its inclusion of an ergonomic magnetic wrist rest and ASUS-exclusive NX mechanical key switches. On the positive side, the review highlights its excellent build quality, clean aesthetics, and a "floating key" caseless design. The keyboard excels in its vibrant RGB lighting, which boasts bright, smooth color transitions customizable via Aura Creator software, alongside support for 5 distinct on-board user profiles. Additionally, the included wrist rest is praised for being exceptionally thick, squishy, and comfortable. However, the reviewer emphasizes several critical drawbacks that compromise its high retail price of RM449. The biggest usability flaw is the complete absence of a dedicated print screen key, which has been replaced entirely by a decorative ROG logo, rendering standard Windows shortcuts unusable. Furthermore, the keycap quality is subpar, utilizing thin, smooth ABS plastic that uncomfortably sticks to fingertips and wears down easily. Finding aftermarket replacements for these low-quality caps is highly problematic due to the board's non-standard bottom row layout. Finally, attaching the magnetic wrist...

The ASUS ROG Strix Scope NX TKL Deluxe is a premium tenkeyless mechanical keyboard designed specifically for FPS players, featuring a sturdy brushed aluminum top plate and a plush, detachable magnetic leatherette wrist rest. Its standout features include vibrant RGB backlighting with a front underglow strip, transparent switch housings, and convenient shortcuts like a "Stealth key" that instantly mutes audio and hides apps. It utilizes ASUS's proprietary NX Blue tactile switches, engineered with a 65g actuation force and closely aligned actuation and reset points to minimize hysteresis during rapid key presses. Furthermore, the keyboard includes an extra-large left Ctrl key to make crouching in games easier, and it supports extensive software customization through Armoury Crate. However, the keyboard comes with several notable drawbacks that might deter enthusiasts. The proprietary extra-large Ctrl key results in a non-standard bottom row, making it highly difficult to source third-party replacement keycaps. There is also noticeable switch wobble, the PCB is not hot-swappable, and the narrow cable slot prevents most custom USB-C cables from fitting. Additionally, attaching the comfortable wrist rest completely blocks the front...

The ASUS ROG Strix Scope NX TKL Deluxe is a robust, compact, wired gaming keyboard that marks a shift for ASUS as it debuts its proprietary ROG NX Red linear switches rather than relying on third-party Cherry MX components. Visually, the keyboard boasts an aggressive, industrial design characterized by a frameless, machined-aluminum top plate with a unique dual finish. Its gaming performance is exceptional, delivering rapid, effortless keystrokes thanks to a light actuation force and an 1.8mm actuation point, making it ideal for speed-focused gaming. Additionally, the keyboard excels in its customisation features; the ASUS Armoury Crate software allows users to configure advanced Scenario Profiles for game-specific layouts, which beautifully complement the highly praised, vivid per-key RGB lighting and under-glow strip. Despite its strong performance, the keyboard suffers from several notable hardware drawbacks relative to its ~$140 price tag. The included single-shot ABS keycaps are a major con, described as having a slippery, squeaky, and cheap texture that hinders the typing experience. Users may also notice a distracting wobbly feeling across all keys—particularly on wider keys like the spacebar and...

Additionally, it boasts excellent customizable RGB backlighting via Armoury Crate, a comfortable magnetic plush wrist rest, an enlarged left Shift/Control setup, and a convenient F12 privacy "stealth" key that instantly mutes audio and minimizes all active windows. Despite these strengths, the keyboard has notable drawbacks, primarily its high price tag of AED 625, making it hard to justify when equally competent tenkeyless options exist for much less. On the hardware side, it forgoes helpful connectivity options by omitting a USB passthrough and a headphone jack. There are also no dedicated physical macro keys, forcing users to...

Kevin Hofer’s six-month review of the Asus ROG Strix Scope TKL Deluxe on Digitec praises the tenkeyless keyboard for its comfortable Cherry MX Red switches, compact 35.6 cm footprint, and included leather palm rest, which enhance ergonomics.
