On the functionality side, users can intuitively navigate playback and volume controls via a convenient physical joystick located on the right ear cup or fine-tune their audio experience using the integrated companion app's equalizer. A major strength of these headphones is their exceptional battery performance, which boasts up to 55 hours of playback with ANC turned off and a robust 41 hours with ANC activated. Summary of the Teufel Real Blue NC (2021) Review The Teufel Real Blue NC (2021) is a wireless over-ear Bluetooth headphone that offers excellent value for money at its €230 retail price point. Designed with premium matte plastic and comfortable, replaceable artificial leather foam ear cushions, it provides great wearing comfort despite being slightly heavier than its more expensive competitors at 270 grams. A standout feature is its highly precise joystick on the right ear cup, which makes controlling volume and playback incredibly intuitive. In lab tests, the headphones scored a "very good" rating (440 out of 500 points), driven by a powerful, well-balanced bass-heavy sound profile and an outstanding battery life of 31 hours.

Review Summary: Teufel Real Blue NC The Teufel Real Blue NC is a closed-back, over-ear Bluetooth headphone designed as an affordable all-rounder, offering a very comfortable fit, robust plastic build quality, and a strong battery life of up to 30 hours. Its physical design isolates external noise reasonably well on its own, and it includes convenient features like folded earcups for portability, voice assistant integration (Google, Alexa, and Siri), and a tactile physical toggle for ANC. However, the physical materials are a bit cheap, causing audible air-hiss noises inside the thick artificial leather ear cushions when squeezed. Additionally, the right earcup features a touch control panel that proves to be overly sensitive during daily operation, and its charging port relies on an older Micro-USB connection protected by a clunky rubber flap. In terms of performance, the headphones struggle to stand out in sound quality and active noise cancellation. While Teufel avoids over-emphasizing the bass, the overall acoustic delivery is described as expressionless, muddy, and lacking energy, making complex instrumentals sound like supermarket background music. The active noise cancellation (ANC) is...

The review from HiFi-Journal evaluates Teufel's flagship over-ear wireless headphones, the standard Real Blue and its noise-cancelling twin, the Real Blue NC. Priced at €169 and €229 respectively, these closed-back models are designed for mobile users and professionals seeking high-fidelity sound on the go. Both pairs feature a smart touch-control interface and are capable of CD-quality wireless streaming. The primary focus of the test is determining how effectively the Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) on the NC variant isolates ambient drone sounds and whether this implementation introduces any noticeable degradation to the overall audio performance.

The Teufel Real Blue NC (2021) is a closed-back, over-ear Bluetooth headphone featuring hybrid active noise cancelling (ANC) that provides a major performance leap over its predecessor at a retail price of 230 Euros. Sonically, it offers its best, most cohesive, and audiophile-leaning performance specifically when operated via Bluetooth with ANC turned on. The highlights include a surprisingly tight, agile, and highly differentiated bass response that adapts beautifully to the source material, a neutral midrange, and an open, detailed high-frequency reproduction that punches above its price class. Additionally, users benefit from an outstanding battery life reaching up to 55 hours without ANC (41 hours with ANC active), a plastic-free packaging initiative, and an easy-to-use physical joystick control instead of error-prone touch surfaces. On the downside, the headphones experience notable tonal degradation when using a passive wired connection or turning ANC off, which shifts the balance too far into a dry, lean sound lacking fullness and momentum. Activating the transparency mode introduces audible background hiss and diminishes the overall fullness of the music. Furthermore, the hybrid noise-cancelling microphones can struggle with...

The Teufel Real Blue NC is a robust wireless over-ear headphone that offers a balanced, powerful sound and highly effective, linear active noise cancelling (ANC) at a fair price-performance ratio. Structurally, it features a practical, foldable design with rotating ear cups that pack down into an included softcase, housing high-quality 40mm neodymium drivers and an acoustic plastic shield that limits ambient noise leakage. In terms of performance, its strong lithium-ion battery delivers an impressive playback runtime spanning between 23 and 60 hours depending on Bluetooth and ANC usage. Operation is highly intuitive, driven by convenient touch controls on the right ear cup for volume, tracking, and voice assistants, alongside physical buttons for pairing and toggle controls. A standout pro of these headphones is the straight-forward ANC, which reliably eliminates static, low-frequency hums during travel without inducing an uncomfortable, high-pressure "diving bell" sensation. On the audio front, the sound profile is punchy and deep, providing excellent bass dynamics for modern music genres, supported by a well-balanced midrange. However, the review highlights several distinct cons, including a slight lack of transparency or...

The Teufel Real Blue NC (2022 generation) is a highly dynamic, over-ear Bluetooth 5.0 headphone that stands out as an affordable alternative in the active noise-cancelling (ANC) market. In terms of audio performance, it functions like a "portable rock concert," delivering a punchy, controlled bass, excellent attack dynamics, and high volume reserves that beat out more expensive competitors. It features an angled 40mm driver placement for a naturally spacious soundstage, supports high-quality AAC and aptX codecs, and achieves an outstanding battery life of up to 55 hours (or 41 hours with ANC activated). Usability is a major strength thanks to an intuitive joystick control on the ear cup and a companion app equipped with a sophisticated, quasi-parametric equalizer. Despite its high 91% overall rating, the review highlights several distinct drawbacks. On the hardware side, the ear pads can feel airtight, potentially creating heat buildup in the summer, and the headband exerts a strong clamping force that may cause uncomfortable pressure around the ears for users with larger heads. Sound-wise, while perfect for pop and rock, the headphones favor cinema-like effects...

The Teufel REAL BLUE NC is a highly versatile, over-ear Bluetooth headphone that delivers balanced sound with deep, non-dominant bass, clear mids, and detailed highs. Priced at €149.99, this redesigned model features a rounded aesthetic available in three colors, larger earcups with soft faux-leather cushions, and a highly flexible, foldable body that fits into an included hardcase. It trades the previous generation's touch controls for a physical mini-joystick packed with ten functions, offers an app-based equalizer, and includes a transparency mode to easily ambient-monitor your surroundings. Battery performance is a major highlight, reliably reaching 39 hours of playtime with active noise cancellation (ANC) enabled and up to 53 hours without it. The review identifies several major advantages, highlighting its high-quality build, excellent price-to-performance ratio, and highly effective active noise cancellation that filters ambient noise without underlying static. Additionally, it is praised for its high wearing comfort—even for glasses wearers—and its ability to operate via an included fabric-jacketed 3.5mm audio cable when Bluetooth is turned off. On the downside, the physical 3.5mm and USB-C ports on the right earcup are completely...

The Teufel Real Blue NC is a highly refined over-ear headphone that balances a comfortable, mature fit with a powerful, bass-heavy sound signature. Key strengths include its exceptional battery life, delivering up to 55 hours of playback time with Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) turned off, and a still-impressive 41 hours with ANC activated. Users will find the unique physical joystick control highly intuitive, providing crisp haptical feedback for volume adjustments, track skipping, and managing calls compared to finicky touch surfaces. Additionally, the hybrid ANC effectively eliminates ambient disruptions, while the integration of Qualcomm's cVc technology significantly improves voice clarity for phone calls and home office use. On the downside, the headphones rely on the slightly older Bluetooth 5.0 standard rather than the newer Bluetooth 5.2 version, though this does not negatively impact its high-quality apt-X and AAC codec support. While the audio quality boasts clean mids, fine highs, and massive, controlled low-end energy, the default sound profile favors an intense "more is more" bass emphasis that might feel overwhelming for listeners seeking a completely neutral audio response. However, this specific...

The review highly praises the massive battery life, which reaches up to 98 hours of playback on a regular wireless connection and 41 hours with active noise cancelling (ANC) enabled. The ANC system is significantly more effective at blocking low frequencies than the previous version. It is enhanced by a practical "Conversation Mode" that automatically dims the music volume and passes through ambient sounds so you can easily hear announcements or talk to others. On the connectivity front, the device upgrades to Bluetooth 5.3 for robust stability and supports premium AAC streaming, while still offering physical USB-C and 3.5mm audio cable connections for versatile playback. However, the headphones come with distinct drawbacks, notably lacking the aptX codec family for Android devices—a chip that was actually present in the older model. Sound-wise, the 40mm "Linear HD" drivers deliver excellent clarity and midrange naturalness, but the sound signature is heavily biased toward a powerful, "disco-like" bass...
