  • Portable and lightweight design, making it comfortable to hold for long periods
  • Excellent battery life, often lasting a full day or more with general web browsing and reading
  • Durable and solid build quality that withstands accidental drops
  • User-friendly interface that is easy for children and non-tech-savvy users to navigate

What we don't like about Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7 0 1 WiFi (5GB + 8GB)

  • Very limited internal storage (8GB), with only about half available for user apps out of the box
  • Occasional sluggishness and lag, especially when the RAM fills up or running demanding 3D games
  • Low-resolution display (1280 x 800) with colors that can appear undersaturated or subdued
  • Poor camera quality, particularly in low light where images are grainy and lack detail
  • Weak and tinny rear speaker that is easily muffled when holding the device in landscape mode
  • Older Android version limits compatibility with some modern or high-performance apps

Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 (Wi-Fi) is a compact 7-inch tablet featuring a 1280 x 800 WXGA TFT display and a slim, portable design with a textured, leather-like back cover. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM, running on Android 4.4 KitKat with Samsung's TouchWiz interface and Multi Window support for multitasking. Key features include a 3MP rear camera, a 1.3MP front camera, and a 4,000 mAh battery that provides up to 10 hours of Wi-Fi usage. Main pros include its lightweight build, expandable storage via microSD (up to 32GB), and user-friendly software enhancements like WatchON and Group Play. However, it is limited by only 8GB of internal storage (with roughly 5GB usable), mediocre camera quality without autofocus or flash, and a low pixel density of approximately 216 ppi.
