Verdict

The TP-Link Archer AX1800 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router delivering total speeds up to 1.8 Gbps, partitioned as 1201 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz. Powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core CPU, it features four high-gain external antennas with Beamforming, OFDMA, and MU-MIMO technologies to support over 40 simultaneous devices and reduce latency. It includes one Gigabit WAN port, four Gigabit LAN ports, WPA3 security, and is compatible with OneMesh for seamless whole-home coverage. Main pros include its affordable entry point into Wi-Fi 6, excellent throughput for 4K streaming, and easy management via the Tether app; however, it lacks 160 MHz channel support, dedicated DFS channels, and high-speed USB 3.0 ports.
