The Logitech G815 Lightsync RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is reviewed as a exceptionally well-engineered, ultra-slim peripheral that successfully merges premium form with high-end functionality. Measuring just 22mm high, the full-sized keyboard boasts a sturdy, grey-blue aluminium top case paired with a steel-reinforced base, offering an understated and sleek aesthetic that skips the gaudy look of traditional gaming hardware. Performance-wise, it swaps out standard Romer-G switches for ultra-low-profile GL switches—available in clicky, tactile, and linear variations. The reviewed clicky model delivers a highly satisfying, audible response with a remarkably short 1.5mm actuation distance and 2.7mm total travel time, making typing and in-game actions feel noticeably faster. Additional perks include oleophobic coatings to resist fingerprints, a single USB 2.0 pass-through port, and the impressive Lightsync RGB system via the G-Hub software, which reactively matches the keyboard's lighting to whatever is happening on your monitor in near-real-time. However, the reviewer highlights several notable drawbacks, primary among them being the keyboard's high price tag of approximately R3199. On a hardware level, the dedicated multimedia controls and top-row profile selection keys are made of soft,...

The Sypnotix review highlights the Logitech G815 as a sleek, low-profile mechanical keyboard with a sophisticated white and brushed silver design that avoids the aggressive "gamer" aesthetic. A major standout feature is its impressive LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting, which accurately displays precise pastel colors rather than washing them out into plain white. On the performance side, the keyboard includes five dedicated macro keys (G1–G5) on the far left and physical onboard memory buttons that make swapping profiles effortless, alongside convenient hardware features like a USB pass-through. The low-profile "tactile" switches deliver a muted, satisfyingly quiet typing sound that is less obnoxious than standard mechanical keyboards. Despite these positives, the reviewer notes a few prominent flaws, starting with an awkward initial adjustment period where the position of the G1–G5 macro keys often leads to accidental presses when aiming for the Control key. Additionally, the Logitech G HUB software is criticised for its complex, non-user-friendly timeline layout, making custom animation creation highly tedious compared to rival brands like Razer and Corsair. Finally, for an expensive keyboard retailing around $169.99 to $199.99, the inclusion...

The Logitech G815 is a premium, ultra-thin mechanical keyboard featuring custom low-profile GL switches developed with Kailh, which provide a shorter 2.5mm travel distance compared to standard 4mm switches. This design choice allows for rapid responsiveness during competitive gaming and requires virtually zero adjustment period for everyday typing. Highly customizable via the Logitech GHub software, the keyboard includes five dedicated vertical macro keys, three on-board profile slots, LightSync RGB illumination, dedicated media buttons, and a smooth, tactile volume roller wheel. The primary pros of the G815 include its sleek, smudge-resistant brushed metal finish, instant typing comfort without a steep learning curve, and a "clicky" switch variant that provides satisfying tactile feedback without excessive noise. It is praised for feeling incredibly sturdy, true to keystrokes, and visually spectacular in any setup. On the downside, the keyboard falls into the expensive bracket, retailing north of the R2000 mark. Additionally, its integrated USB pass-through port is limited to older USB 2.0 technology, meaning users cannot expect fast data transfer speeds. If you'd like, let me know

The NAG review highlights the Logitech G815 as a 22mm-thick, premium mechanical keyboard featuring a durable brushed aluminum top case and responsive low-profile GL Tactile switches. It earns praise for its superior build quality, extensive RGB customization, and dedicated media controls, marking it as a top-tier gaming peripheral. However, the review notes the high price point, exceeding R2000, as a significant drawback for a luxury item. Other downsides mentioned include the lack of an included wrist rest, sharp front edges, and missing backlighting on secondary key functions.

The Logitech G815 is a high-end, low-profile mechanical keyboard praised for its "masterful" design, featuring a slim aluminum-magnesium alloy shell and a brushed metal aesthetic. It utilizes Logitech’s specialized GL Switches, which are half the height of traditional switches while maintaining the tactile feedback of standard mechanical keys. The reviewer highlights its functional versatility, noting the dedicated media keys, a volume scroll wheel, and five programmable G-keys for macros. Additionally, it includes a USB passthrough for convenient device charging or data transfer, though this requires occupying two USB ports on the PC. The review identifies several significant pros, including its premium build quality, the satisfying feel of the GL Clicky switches for writers, and the Lightsync RGB integration that allows for seamless lighting synchronization across other Logitech peripherals. However, there are notable cons, primarily centered on the Logitech G Hub software, which the reviewer finds less intuitive and reliable than the older Logitech Gaming Software. Furthermore, while its slim profile is comfortable, the keyboard has a large physical footprint on the desk, and its high retail price (approximately R3 000)...

The Logitech G815 Lightsync RGB Keyboard review by Wccftech highlights a premium, ultra-thin mechanical keyboard that measures just 22mm in height yet sacrifices none of the tactile feedback expected from a sturdier build. Built on a reinforced steel base with a brushed aluminium top, the full-sized keyboard is exceptionally durable and incorporates a braided cable with a helpful USB passthrough socket. Its key selling points are the custom GL low-profile switches featuring a short 2.7mm travel distance, which creates a satisfying illusion of faster typing, and the extensive customisation offered via the Logitech G Hub software. Users can fully personalise per-key RGB animations using Lightsync technology—which dynamically shifts profiles based on the game being played—and map up to 15 macros across three distinct profiles using the five dedicated left-side macro keys. The Trusted Reviews assessment of the Logitech G815 Lightsync RGB highlights its sleek, 22mm ultra-thin aluminium design and robust build as key strengths, complemented by five programmable macro keys and a USB pass-through port. The keyboard is praised for its aesthetics and functional features, offering a premium alternative to typical aggressive gaming peripherals. However, the review notes drawbacks, including the use of plastic on the bottom chassis and a large 475mm length that limits portability. Furthermore, the low-profile keys, while designed for speed, may not suit users preferring the feel and travel of traditional mechanical switches. Trusted Reviews

According to the RTINGS review, the Logitech G815 LIGHTSYNC RGB is an excellent, low-profile wired gaming keyboard featuring exceptionally low latency, durable aluminum construction, and responsive proprietary switches. It excels with vibrant, customizable RGB lighting, five dedicated macro keys, and a convenient USB passthrough. However, the keyboard lacks a wrist rest, has noticeable key wobble, and uses ABS keycaps that can feel slippery over time. Furthermore, its short travel distance may not suit everyone, and macro programming is limited to dedicated keys.

The Logitech G815 is an ultra-slim, full-sized gaming keyboard that balances a premium brushed-metal base plate with a low-profile 22mm height. It features bright, vibrant LIGHTSYNC RGB backlighting customizable via G-Hub software, onboard media keys, and a smooth volume wheel. Performance relies on proprietary GL switches with a 1.5mm actuation distance. The reviewer noted that the GL Clicky switches felt snappy and kept pace with fast writing, while the GL Linear switches felt somewhat heavy and "muddy" for extensive typing tasks. The design boasts clear strengths, including heavy customization through five dedicated G-Keys and three distinct onboard memory profiles. However, notable drawbacks impact comfort, as the hardware completely lacks a wrist rest, and the bottom bezel is so cramped that it creates a sharp, uncomfortable edge that can pinch your thumbs during typing. Additionally, the rubberized media keys exhibit a loose wobble, and the fluid volume roller lacks enough physical resistance, making it too easy to accidentally bump and wildly alter system sound levels.
