The Hardware Asylum review highlights the Cooler Master MK770 as a highly customisable 96% compact-style mechanical keyboard featuring 98 keys compressed into a reduced footprint to save desk space. A standout feature is the unique, eye-catching "Macaron" colour scheme that splits key colors into logical groupings, paired with a customisable dual-coloured multifunction roller wheel on the top right. Underneath, the keyboard delivers excellent build features, utilizing durable doubleshot PBT keycaps and a full internal gasket system with two rubber gaskets sandwiching the PCB to quieten and stabilize every keystroke. Connectivity is incredibly versatile, supporting standard USB Type-C wired mode alongside 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth 5.1 toggles. It is anchored by four rubber feet with a hidden USB dongle slot and provides two adjustable height levels to accommodate user typing preferences.

The Cooler Master MK770 is identified as a premium, top-performing keyboard featuring a quiet, gasket-mounted design, high-quality hardware, and a versatile three-way roller wheel. It is highly praised for its sound, typing comfort, and robust, attractive build. Conversely, the review notes drawbacks including buggy, slow MasterPlus+ software, mediocre battery life with full RGB lighting, and a dense 95% layout that may cause accidental keystrokes.

The Cooler Master MK770 is a 96-percent, 98-key mechanical keyboard featuring a gasket-mounted design, pre-lubed Kailh Box V2 switches, and hot-swappable sockets. It offers triple-connectivity (2.4GHz, Bluetooth, USB-C), a rotary volume dial, and durable PBT keycaps, delivering a quiet, dampened typing experience. Conversely, the layout sacrifices dedicated keys like Page Up/Down for the rotary dial, moving them to a secondary layer. Additionally, the RGB illumination is lackluster, the MasterPlus+ software is Windows-only and unstable, and the 4,000 mAh battery drains quickly with RGB enabled.

The Cooler Master MK770 is a robust, full-sized gaming keyboard praised for its exceptional build quality, striking pastel aesthetic, and highly customizable hot-swappable PCB design. It features finely textured, durable double-shot PBT keycaps paired with Kailh Box V2 switches, which offer a softer, quieter typing experience that is excellent for long gaming sessions or content creators. The keyboard also boasts versatile multi-platform connectivity, allowing users to connect to up to three devices via low-latency 1ms wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes, or through Bluetooth. Additionally, Cooler Master’s Masterplus software provides a major overhaul for RGB customizability, introducing multi-layer and multi-zone effects that allow users to deeply personalize their lighting setups.

Despite earning the OCinside.de Purchase Tip Award, the keyboard does have a few drawbacks to consider. The layout requires some adaptation, as several independent functions are relegated to secondary shortcuts that must be activated using a dedicated Cooler Master modifier button. Furthermore, some users might find it restrictive that duplicate button assignments are cramped or marked solely on the side of the keycaps due to space constraints. Ergonomically, the packaging lacks a dedicated palm rest, which could lead to fatigue during prolonged gaming sessions or intensive typing marathons. Finally, the accompanying control software is required to fully unlock macro customisation and precise LED profiles.

Cooler Master MK770 Review Summary The Cooler Master MK770 is a striking 95% hybrid mechanical keyboard that delivers an exceptionally high-quality typing experience and a premium sound profile due to its well-insulated, dampened interior layers. Evaluated in its vibrant pastel "Macaron" colorway, this versatile layout retains the full numpad while maintaining a compact, space-saving TKL footprint. It features robust Kailh Box V2 Red switches, hotswappable capability, a 4000 mAh battery, a built-in volume scroll wheel, and triple-mode connectivity spanning wired, 2.4 GHz wireless, and Bluetooth options. The package offers excellent value by including a connection cable, a wireless dongle, a keycap/switch puller, and eight additional white clicky switches. However, the keyboard falls short in a few areas, most notably with its keycaps; the German layout uses less durable, laser-engraved ABS plastic instead of the high-quality Doubleshot PBT found on the US and Chinese models. The integrated RGB lighting is also flawed, suffering from heavy light bleeding between the keys while failing to illuminate secondary key assignments clearly. Visually, the stark black wireless dongle and adapter clash heavily with the otherwise...

Shipped out of California, the device features a compact 98-key ANSI or 99-key ISO layout equipped with Kailh Box V2 switches and multi-colored double-shot PBT keycaps for its vibrant "Macaron" edition. It provides versatile three-way connectivity options including a 1000Hz polling rate via a wired USB-C connection or 2.4GHz wireless mode, alongside Bluetooth 5.1 capability. Backed by a standard two-year warranty, the package includes functional accessories like a 1.8m braided coiled cable, a USB extension converter, and a combination keycap/switch puller. The review identifies several distinct advantages alongside noticeable build compromises. Pros include its space-saving 95% form factor that balances the functionality of tenkeyless and full-sized options, its highly flexible triple-mode connectivity, and an overall enjoyable typing experience facilitated by the hot-swappable gasket structure. On the downside, the cons highlight a lack of physical rigidity, as the full ABS plastic frame suffers from noticeable middle flex and torquing. Additionally, the reviewer points out below-average battery life performance from its 4000mAh cell, the...

The Cooler Master MK770 is a highly praised 96% layout mechanical keyboard that balances space-saving utility with a exceptional user experience. Retailing at an affordable $119, it delivers an outstanding typing and gaming experience driven by its robust, sound-dampening gasket-mounted design and fluid Kailh Box V2 switches. The reviewer heavily lauds the striking "Macaron" aesthetic—featuring pastel green, yellow, and pink double-shot PBT keycaps—which stands out elegantly against typical dark peripherals. Furthermore, its hot-swappable configuration allows users to effortlessly mod switches and keycaps, complemented by multi-device connectivity (wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth 5.1) and functional features like a programmable roller knob. Despite its superb comfort and quiet, ASMR-like acoustic profile, the keyboard suffers from subpar and sluggish companion software. The MasterPlus application takes up to twenty seconds to load and occasionally fails to recognize the connected keyboard. Additionally, users looking for ergonomic wrist support will be disappointed to find that no wrist rest is included in the box. However, because the software can be entirely ignored outside of essential firmware updates, these flaws do not diminish the keyboard's value. It ultimately...

The Cooler Master MK770 is a 96-percent wireless mechanical keyboard priced at $119 that offers an exceptional typing and gaming experience. It features a unique, vibrant "Macaron" pastel color scheme—with an alternative "Space Gray" option—and includes highly functional additions like a dedicated metallic volume dial. Reviewers praise the keyboard as one of the most comfortable daily drivers ever tested, attributing this success to its flexible gasket mount design paired with smooth Kailh Box V2 switches (available in linear Red, tactile Brown, or clicky White). It offers extensive connectivity options, supporting three Bluetooth profiles, a snappy 2.4-GHz wireless connection with a 1,000 Hz polling rate for lag-free gaming, and a wired USB-C mode. The 4,000 mAh battery delivers strong performance, lasting a full week on a single charge with the RGB lights turned off. Despite its high-quality hardware and hot-swappable 5-pin switch design, the MK770 has a few notable drawbacks. The primary complaint centers on the Cooler Master MasterPlus software, which is described as sluggish to launch and limited in its macro editing capabilities, though it does allow for profile swapping...

The Cooler Master MK770 Macaron ($119.99) earns a 3.5/5 rating from PCMag for its vibrant pastel aesthetic, hot-swappable switches, and versatile triple-wireless connectivity suitable for both Mac and Windows. A key strength is the nearly silent, satisfying typing experience provided by the floating silicone gasket structure and pre-lubed Kailh Box V2 switches. However, the keyboard is held back by a shallow, non-adjustable typing angle and an inconvenient 2.4GHz dongle storage compartment. Furthermore, internal structural design limits the effectiveness of the RGB backlighting, with some keys obstructing the light.
