Third-party reviews

Reviews last updated: June 2026 · How we calculate this

What we like about Huawei Band 2 Pro

  • Affordable price point for a device with built-in GPS
  • Impressive battery life, lasting up to 21 days on a single charge with normal use
  • Built-in GPS allows for phone-free activity tracking
  • Waterproof design rated at 5ATM (suitable for swimming)
  • Slim and lightweight design is comfortable for 24/7 wear and sleep tracking
  • Detailed sleep analysis using Huawei TruSleep technology
  • Includes VO2 Max tracking and recovery time suggestions

What we don't like about Huawei Band 2 Pro

  • Heart rate monitoring can be inaccurate, especially during high-intensity exercise
  • Monochrome OLED screen is difficult to read in direct sunlight
  • Proprietary charging cradle is required and can be fiddly to use
  • Limited workout profiles (mostly restricted to running, cycling, and swimming)
  • Companion app (Huawei Health) has been described as clunky or unintuitive
  • The watch strap is non-replaceable and uses a difficult-to-fasten two-prong clasp
  • Syncing with third-party apps like Strava is limited or requires workarounds
  • Some software menus or notifications may occasionally display in Chinese by default

Verdict

The Huawei Band 2 Pro is a slim, water-resistant fitness tracker (5ATM) featuring a 0.91-inch monochrome PMOLED display and integrated GPS for standalone route tracking. It is powered by a 100mAh battery offering up to 21 days of standby time or approximately 5–7 days of active use with heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking enabled. Key characteristics include a 3-axis accelerometer, continuous PPG heart rate sensor, and advanced TruSleep 2.0 metrics for analyzing sleep quality and breathing. Main pros include its exceptional value at an affordable price point, accurate GPS performance for its class, and a lightweight, comfortable design. However, notable cons include a display that can be difficult to read in direct sunlight, a somewhat clunky and non-intuitive software interface, and the lack of an auto-pause feature during workouts.
