What owners say about the Huawei Band 11 Pro

Based on 120 owners sharing their experience in online comments

49%positive17%mixed34%negative

Owners praise its comfortable fit, bright display, and useful tracking, while battery, GPS, and workout limitations frustrate others.

What owners dislike

  • Pairing with iPhones is unreliable, and on Android the watch restarts daily and asks for the Huawei app again; notifications only work well with Huawei or Honor phones.9
  • Battery drains quickly with always-on display turned on, lasting about 3 days instead of the advertised 6 to 7 days.5
  • On the workout screen, pace is on the second page instead of the first, and it cannot be rearranged, so users must swipe to see it.5
  • GPS distance can run long in built-up or crowded areas, and the route is less smooth than on the Huawei Watch Fit 4.4
  • Sleep tracking counts a daytime nap as a return to sleep, and wake-ups are only detected when the wrist moves.4
  • The screen scratches easily because there is no sapphire-type glass, and no screen protector is widely available at launch.4
  • The open water swimming mode is missing on some units, even in the hidden menu.4
  • Replacement straps are hard to find, so owners end up using the original, which can look shiny with frequent wear.4
  • The band does not record elevation or altitude when used alone, only when a workout is started from the app.3
  • The watch overheats and restarts during rides longer than about 3 to 4 hours, and after one update the touchscreen stopped working following a restart.3

  • GPS drifts near buildings and in dense forest.
  • Heart rate lags for the first minutes of a run.
  • The always-on display drains the battery fast.
  • There is no microphone or speaker, so you cannot make calls.
  • Above 35 °C it shuts down in heat.

Verdict

If you want built-in GPS on a band rather than a full watch, the Huawei Band 11 Pro is worth a look. Its screen reaches 2000 nits, and at 18 g it is light for a band with GPS. GPS is accurate on open routes, though it drifts near buildings. The rated 14 days drops to about 10 days in tests with most features switched on. With the always-on display running, it can fall to about 3 days. It is rated to 50 m, and it counts swim strokes for pool sessions. The trade-offs are the lack of a microphone and speaker, so no calls, and a 35 °C limit that shuts it down in heat. It suits someone who wants GPS for runs and everyday health tracking, not calls or apps.
