Revell Magic Mover is a small, fun toy that is better with two players, though it feels cheap.

Third-party reviews

What we like about Revell Magic Mover

  • Hand-gesture control with no remote needed
  • Sensors on four sides keep it away from obstacles
  • Altitude hold for steady hovering
  • Very easy for young children
  • Affordable and simple

What we don't like about Revell Magic Mover

  • No camera
  • Short flights from a 300 mAh battery
  • Indoor use only
  • Older 2018 design

Verdict

The Revell Magic Mover is a hand-controlled mini drone for children that needs no remote at all. Kids steer it by moving a hand near the drone, and sensors on four sides push it away from palms, walls and furniture. That makes it a playful, almost magical toy that is easy to grasp in seconds. Altitude hold keeps it hovering at a steady height, so younger children can concentrate on guiding it around the room. The small 300 mAh battery and brushed motors keep it simple and affordable, but flights are short and it is strictly for indoor use. There is no camera, app or GPS. Launched in 2018, it is an older design, yet the gesture control remains unusual. For a simple, interactive toy that introduces children to flying, it is great fun.
