When should you consider buying a 12L dehumidifier?
A 12 L/day dehumidifier is worth considering when a compact room has regular condensation, indoor laundry, or damp air but does not need the reserve of a 20 L/day unit. It is a practical middle size for bedrooms, living rooms, utility rooms, and small basements.
The rating is most useful for roughly 15–35 m² in ordinary household conditions, although temperature, humidity, ceiling height, and airflow can move the result considerably. A divided or cold room may need more capacity even when its floor area appears modest.
Choose a 12 L/day model when it can cycle around 50–60% RH, drain continuously, and operate quietly enough for the room. Move to a larger model if it runs constantly, cannot dry laundry within a reasonable time, or leaves condensation in corners.
