The reviewer chose the space-saving 75% form factor (84 keys) to cut down desk clutter while retaining crucial F-keys for RTS gaming. Notable pros include its smooth Bluetooth 5.1 multi-device connectivity, a hot-swappable PCB for future customization, a vibrant RGB backlight, and a generous 4,000 mAh battery that reliably lasts about a week under heavy daily usage with active lighting. Additionally, the linear Gateron Red switches delivered an incredibly comfortable and effortless typing experience that reduced strain after an initial adjustment period. However, the reviewer noted a few minor cons during their long-term testing. The keyboard occasionally suffered from random wireless connection drops via Bluetooth, requiring the user to unpair and re-pair the device to restore operation. Key strengths include customizable RGB, premium keycaps, and excellent, seamless compatibility with both Windows and Mac operating systems, complete with interchangeable keycaps and side-switches. While overwhelmingly positive, the review notes minor potential drawbacks, including the left-side USB-C port placement and the use of slicker ABS plastic keycaps. Despite these, the keyboard is lauded for its high value and out-of-the-box performance, particularly for users looking for a versatile compact mechanical keyboard.

The Keychron K2 is a compact 75% wireless mechanical keyboard designed with a default Apple-style layout, making it a strong choice for Mac users who want physical Command and Option keys out of the box. The reviewer recommends the $99 aluminium frame version for its substantial, well-built feel, noting that the deep key travel and Gateron brown switches offer a highly enjoyable typing experience with a balanced, office-friendly click sound. It also features a sleek two-tone grey design accented by a distinctive orange Escape key. However, the keyboard has notable drawbacks, including its high profile off the desk surface, which requires a wrist rest for comfortable typing. The layout also includes a shrunk down right Command key that can be difficult to adjust to. Additionally, the reviewer criticises the garish RGB backlighting styles, noting that a simple white backlight is unfortunately unavailable for the preferred aluminium frame model.

The Keychron K2 is a compact 75% mechanical wireless keyboard that features an appealing aesthetic with grey keycaps, an orange escape key, and a non-gaming appearance appropriate for professional environments. Starting at $69 USD, it offers valuable features including cross-platform compatibility with Windows and Mac, included native keycaps for both operating systems, and a high-capacity 4000mAh battery that provides 3 to 5 weeks of runtime on regular settings. Users can seamlessly pair and switch between three separate devices over Bluetooth or connect via the included right-angle USB Type-C cable. The review recommends opting for the subtle, cool-toned white backlighting model over the $10 more expensive RGB version, noting that the chassis exhibits minimal flex despite its primary plastic construction. However, the reviewer highlights several significant drawbacks, most notably the keyboard's extreme chassis thickness. Performance issues also emerged during testing; the keyboard consistently refused to pair with a Windows desktop via Bluetooth, leading the reviewer...
