Glorious GMMK 3 Pro Wireless Review | 64 Data compared

The Glorious GMMK 3 is a highly customisable mainstream gaming keyboard line-up featuring both pre-built models and a modular custom board builder called "Boardsmith". It is available in 65-percent, 75-percent, and full-size layouts. A major technical highlight is its magnetic PCB, which uniquely supports hot-swapping between both magnetic Hall Effect (HE) switches and standard mechanical switches. When equipped with magnetic switches, the board supports high-performance features like a polling rate up to 8,000 Hz, Rapid Trigger, and Dynamic Keystroke. Structurally, it is well-built and sturdy, offering heavy full-aluminum case variants with customizable gasket modules to alter typing flex. However, the keyboard suffers from several drawbacks, primarily its very high price tag, which ranges from $119.99 for basic pre-builts up to $608 for fully customized configurations. Performance-wise, the official switch options are quite limited, the switches are physically difficult to remove, and the non-magnetic linear variants deliver a mediocre experience. Furthermore, the accompanying Glorious Core software is highly unstable—causing intermittent lighting resets and failing to accurately read the battery level. This software issue exacerbates the keyboard's poor battery life, which maxes...

The GamingBible review highlights the Glorious GMMK 3 HE Pro Prebuilt Keyboard as a premium, exceptionally customisable peripheral that justifies its entry point for users seeking ultimate longevity and tailored performance. Priced at £269.99 for the 75 percent model, its standout pros include a deeply satisfying, customizable "clack" acoustic profiles, effortless fluid keystrokes, and dynamic rapid trigger functionality that resets inputs instantly for intensive button-mashing gameplay. The reviewer heavily praises the unprecedented level of creative freedom, noting that despite being prebuilt, users can fearlessly hot-swap keycaps (like the GPBT Comic Boom limited edition set) and experiment with bundled alternate switch samples ranging from silent varieties to loud, tactile clicks. However, the review outlines clear drawbacks regarding the board’s accessibility and niche market appeal. The primary cons are its high financial barrier to entry and the logistical reality that while individual alternative switch samples are included for physical testing, the keyboard does not arrive with enough of each sample to fully re-outfit the entire layout without purchasing additional hardware. Furthermore, while it stands as an exceptional asset for high-level gaming setups,...

The Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE is a highly customizable gaming keyboard that unifies the brand's lineup into 65%, 75%, and 100% layouts with an estimated one billion structural combinations. Built to order in Texas, high-end configurations feature a robust aluminum frame, custom gasket mounts, a brass switch plate, and lubricated Fox HE linear switches that deliver a premium, exceptionally quiet typing experience measuring just 48dB. Its standout performance feature is the inclusion of Hall Effect (HE) switches, which grant gamers access to analog input, adjustable per-key actuation points, Rapid Trigger modes, and instant counter-strafing. However, this modularity comes with strict hardware limitations: standard wired models cannot be upgraded to wireless, and standard non-HE circuit boards cannot accept Hall Effect switches later on. The review highlights several major pros, including near-endless aesthetic and functional customization, fantastic premium build quality, a low entry price point for base models, and advanced analog gaming features. Conversely, the cons focus heavily on cost and material constraints; fully customized units are incredibly expensive—with the tested review sample pricing out at a steep $493.99. It features excellent gaming performance with an 8,000Hz polling rate, rapid trigger, and wireless connectivity, alongside bright RGB lighting. However, the keyboard is hindered by buggy, unreliable software that fails to save settings properly. Additionally, typing quality is merely adequate, featuring a stiff, gasket-mounted structure with some keycap wobble and, despite its features, it lags slightly in latency compared to top-tier rivals.
