The Wobkey Rainy 75 Pro is a budget-friendly, pre-built 75-percent mechanical keyboard that offers an outstanding typing experience for its $139 price point. Built with a hefty anodized aluminum case weighing 4.37 pounds, it features durable double-shot PBT keycaps in a Cherry profile and a gasket-mounted design with a flexible FR4 PCB. Its standout feature is its acoustics, utilizing five layers of sound-dampening foam to create a highly satisfying, deep, and creamy "thock" sound while typing. The Pro version boasts a large 7,000mAh battery that delivers up to 900 hours of wireless battery life across Bluetooth 5.0 and 2.4GHz connections, and it includes vibrant, customizable RGB backlighting via QMK/VIA software. Despite its impressive build quality and sound, the keyboard does have several notable design and performance drawbacks. A major design inconvenience is that the physical wireless toggle switch is hidden directly underneath the Caps Lock key, requiring users to pull off the keycap just to turn the wireless connection on or off. Performance-wise, the review noted out-of-the-box switch inconsistencies, specifically a double-typing issue on multiple keys that required using the...

The Wobkey Rainy 75 Pro review on Decaf Journal highlights it as an exceptionally overbuilt, tank-like 75% mechanical keyboard housed in an ultra-sturdy 6063 aluminium alloy CNC case. The reviewer highly praises its five distinct layers of sound-dampening foam, KAILH Cocoa Switches, and double-shot PBT keycaps, which collectively deliver a sublime, raindrop-like acoustic signature and an incredibly satisfying tactile typing experience. Key advantages include its flexible triple-mode connectivity (wired USB-C, Bluetooth, and 2.4G wireless), an impressive 900-hour battery life, 18 vibrant RGB backlighting modes, and seamless key remapping layout customization via the free VIA application. Despite the overwhelming praise, the reviewer notes a few specific drawbacks to the design. A primary design complaint is the highly inconvenient placement of the physical wireless connection switch, which is hidden entirely underneath the Caps Lock key and requires a keycap removal tool just to access. Additionally, because the keyboard is structurally built for an audibly stimulating experience, it is notably noisy and is explicitly described as a poor option for quiet office environments. Ultimately, the review concludes that the Rainy 75 Pro is...

The Wobkey Rainy75 Pro is a highly praised mechanical keyboard that stands out for its exceptional out-of-the-box sound profile, which realistically mimics the soothing pitter-patter of raindrops. Built into a heavy, premium two-part aluminium case with a unique, textured stainless steel back weight, this $127 upgraded "Pro" version features an FR4 flex-cut plate, vibrant RGB backlighting, and a massive 7000mAh battery capacity. The board uses a dumbbell-shaped grommet mount system to isolate the PCB and benefits from excellent power engineering, cutting off electricity to the LEDs when they are turned off via hotkeys to ensure weeks of reliable standby time. It also supports modification flexibility, hidden away with screw-in stabiliser support and a wide range of easily sourced third-party replacement plates. However, the review highlights several distinct cons and design quirks. Visually, the Pro model's two-tone red FR4 plate aggressively clashes with the clean aesthetics of the silver chassis. From a usability standpoint, the master on/off switch is inconveniently hidden directly underneath the Caps-lock keycap. During disassembly, the internal yellow grommets have an annoying habit of easily slipping off and...

The WOBKEY Rainy 75 Pro is a premium, enthusiast-style 75% mechanical keyboard that delivers a high-quality "plug-and-play" typing experience at a fair price of $159. Built with exceptional material quality, the Pro model features a heavy CNC aluminum case, high-density FR4 fiberglass plate, silver SUS304 stainless steel weight, and five layers of dampening foam, resulting in a substantial 4.3-pound weight that ensures extreme stability. Reviewer Bill Loguidice highly praises the typing performance of the prelubed Kailh Cocoa switches, which provide a buttery-smooth feel and a thick, satisfying "raindrop" clacking sound profile. Additional notable pros include an impressive 7000mAh battery that lasts up to 900 hours with RGB and ultra-low latency disabled, multiple connection options (wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth), web-based Via app customization, and a quick wake-up time from sleep mode. Despite receiving an outstanding 9/10 "Editor's Choice" rating, the keyboard has a few notable drawbacks. Its Kailh Cocoa switches require a slightly higher operating force (45 to 50g), making the keyboard less ideal for fast-action competitive gaming where rapid, lighter touches or magnetic switches are preferred. From a design...
