Reviews score

Reviews score
✕
What it is
Average grade from independent test sites, magazines and video reviewers, 1–10.
How we count it
Grades: Each review's own score is converted to 1–10; without one, we grade the review ourselves. Big test sites count more, short reviews half as much as full tests. A video review counts half.
Score: The average grade is 80% of the review mark; the number of reviews is the other 20% (1 review = 5, the typical number in this category = 8, the most-reviewed model = 10).
Enough data: With few reviews, the average grade is pulled toward the typical grade of this category. No reviews yet: 7.2 for now.
Share: Reviews count 25% of the overall score.

Third-party reviews

What we like about Tikkers Series 1

  • Battery life of 7 days means one charge lasts a week.
  • The 1.57 inch color screen is easy to read at a glance.
  • A full charge takes just 2 hours.
  • Find my phone helps when the tracker goes missing.
  • Sleep, step and calorie tracking covers the basics.
  • The IPX7 rating covers rain, splashes and short dips in water.

What we don't like about Tikkers Series 1

  • The 300 nits screen is hard to read in strong sunlight.
  • The 1 m depth rating rules out deeper water.
  • It has no GPS, so it cannot map a run or a bike ride.
  • Internal storage is only 0.0005 GB, so it cannot hold music.
  • Designed for kids, it may feel too basic for adult users.

Verdict

The Tikkers Series 1 is aimed at children, with a 1.57 inch color screen that is easy to read at a glance. A battery life of 7 days means a child can wear it for a week between charges, and a full charge takes 2 hours. It tracks steps, distance, sleep and calories, and it sets goals and syncs with the calendar. Find my phone and multi-sport mode are handy for games and days out. It is rated IPX7 for water and works with both Android and iOS, so setup is simple. The screen is only 300 nits, which makes it hard to read in strong sunlight, and it has no GPS. It suits a parent who wants a budget tracker for an active child who wears it all day.
